I just got my results and i got an overall band 8.5!! Listening 9, reading 8.5, speaking 9 and writing 7.5. I was especially surprised with writing since i ran out of time and felt it was pretty lackluster. Due to certain circumstances i only had 3 days to prep, and all I did was practice tests and watched your videos. The ones where you transformed band 6 essays to band 8 REALLY helped! This is like an interview with a native speaker, it is more a podcast than it is an English speaking test. This guy's English level is insane. I myself am pretty confident in my speaking ability(I got 8.0 in it for IELTS), but after watching this video, I know I still have a long way to go. I wish that one day I would be able to bring that podcast vibe into my English speeches, just like what Craig did here.

I took the IELTS test a month ago and my speaking test result came out not as unexpected (7.0), even though I do believe my vocab and grammar range is wide with almost complete accuracy, and I am confident with my pronunciation and ideas. The examiner kept interrupting my answers even when my answers were not that long for any part of the test. 😢

I got an over all band 8. I did very well in Listening and Reading and got 8.5 and 8 respectively. But by the time I reached writing part, I was exhausted ( probably because I was feeling under the weather this day) and I got a very complex table, the one with demographic stats in Malaysia and Australia in 1980 and 2002. It was a very plain table and there wasn’t much to deduce. So I really struggled there and spent way more time than I should have. Ended un giving 30 minutes to each task, despite fully aware of the sir weightage difference. Left no time to check my essay. I got just 7 :( I could have done better. But my speaking was perfect. I gave all the answers promptly and elaborated in each of my points. Had no unnatural pauses. I spoke as well as this guy but the lady gave me only 7.5 :( I am upset :)
