Hi Chris, I've been following you for a very long period of time since the summer when I didn't have any strategy for my ielts exams, I didn't expect that those advice I received from you would be so helpful. There's still a long journey to go, approximately 5 months from now until I have my ielts test. @@simplegirljusttrynnalive.6776 Yes, after practising for about a week from the IELTS Practice test books i learned that there are “key” words in the paragraphs which you have to use in the answers. Plus always focus on your weak areas, for me it was the “match the heading with the paragraph” which improved with practice tests online and watching videos on this channel. Hi, Chris. Thanks for the videos. I want to share my experience. Several months ago, I've joined the IELTS preparation online class for Writing Task 1 and Speaking Task for about 1,5 months. There was a final test at the end of the program. I got 6.5 in both subjects. I'm pretty aware that my writing skills aren't that good. But, after watching this video, I'm sure that my speaking skills are the same level as the lady, yet my teacher gave me less than 7. I was planning to take the actual test this December. However, after receiving the results, I lost my confidence. Now, I need to postpone everything.

Update after I took the test.. I didn't do well in Writing part😭😭.. I panicked but I managed to fulfill both tasks' words requirements (is it even possible to get band 6..) Speaking I'm not sure, listening was okay, reading last part is a bit tricky and I kinda didn't have the time to recheck the answers. Now, I'm praying for my Writing at least get 6 please😭

She used "comes back" for a plural. She said "At the contrary". She absolutely used ZERO C-level vocabulary. Found no wide range of grammar range. She's a straight 6.5, not a C2 level.

From what I learned from this channel about speaking, Chris always tells us to relax not be overly formal or academic, also that examiners Don't judge. The lady in the video is definitely far better than me but she does have accent and she also paused and stuck (which is quite normal in my opinion). And many of my acquaintance and friend (I've heard their speach, they may not be as good as the lady, but good) only got 6.5-6 in speaking (most of them had bengali examiners). In Many group people also complained and speculated that Bengalis examiners are very particular about accent and fluency, which is why they don’t get good score. I Don't know if any non-bengalis also faced this issue or not.

Hey IELTS Advantage I just wanna know some speaking tests that take place in some countries are not fair at all. They wont let you speak or they just let one student to speak for about like 5 seconds that moving onto the next question. For example, Section 2 should have been lasted for 2 minutes but they let me speak for just half a minute. It is like they are speed running this. I just want to let you know this

@ though i have 7.0 Overall, reading 8.5, listening 7.5, writing 5.5, speaking 6. I am still proud that i’ve tried my best!. It’s not like i can use ur advices 3 days before the test. Sorry for disappointing u =(

Isn’t going through bullet points (who lives there? My grandma. Where is it? In the mountains) bad? Bc my ielts teacher told me that it should be a story with answers to the bullet points in it, not just answers to the bullet points (my teacher has 9.0 on speaking section)
