@@ABD11 I took it on October and I failed, mainly due to a lack of good planning and accurate way to organize my ideas. Hopefully, this time (February 2019) I will get my desire score (7). I'm taking private classes and the instructor says quite the same but she suggests to spend less time on planning.

Your talk is true. Because I can write thoroughly but fail the concentration in the middle time, sometimes seen I am walking on the bad way of the topic. As an result, times will have inadequate.

To say the truth i registered to IELTS Exam on 1 st January,i Forgot that i have exam on 24th February(i didn't prepare for exam eventually) I found this video and i think it is the best Video about Writing Part 2 .I feel great after watching this video,some guys commented below that,where we shall get a paper for planning.Answer is clear: You should learn by heart the structure!

I should have seen this before I had taken my IELTS exam recently. Really helpful. I did self studying and didn't do well on my writing task because I wasn't able to finish my writing task 2. Can't put into words how useful and informative this video is! by the way, I really laughed at the way you explained when the candidate read the question then start writing immediately then go back again and check the question as he/she doubts what she is writing! that once happened to me as I didn't plan well then stuck while writing and as a result of insufficient planing that costed me the other scores of marking criteria as I was just thinking while writing and didn't concentrate on those other important criteria such as grammar, coherence and cohesion, and task achievement. My score due to that bad planning was 6. I then realized that the key to 7+ in writing is the planning. the better you plan the more likely you will get 7+. Many thanks teacher!

Its quite worthful to watch your plan in that WT2 section, it'll be wonderful to know some WT2 general writing tips on (opinions, discussions, agree/disagree, advantages and disadvantages etc..)

You are an amazing teacher. Your tone is friendly and your guides are on-point. And for that I have a question for you: Since the planning is just for ideas, what about during the writing process? How do we find out if we have enough "complex sentences", a "wide range of grammar" or "lexical resource" for...let's say a 7.0? From what I know we can't play it safe and write basic sentences or paraphrase with certain words 'cause in the end, by doing that, we are not showing a wide range of english skills.

good question! did you get your answer? You need a mix of simple, compound and complex. About 25% each. Then add in some SVOVO.

I have chosen the following topic: Having more money and less free time is better than earning less money and having more free time. Discuss both views and state your opinion. My plan: The question: discussion general topic: money and free time specific topic: if money is preferred over free time or vice versa question asking: discussing both views and give your own opinion Introduction: paraphrase question/ earring more money and having less free time is better Body 1 : having more free time and less money Body 2: having less free time and more money Conclusion: rephrase and summarize my opinion ideas generation: Body 1: * money is not the main source of happiness * having more free time allows to stay in touch with family and relatives * allows to enjoy it by doing things you like most as drawing or reading. Body 2: * No money no life * we are living in an expensive world * earning money is the only way to fill our needs. * by earning money we could enjoy the little free time we have at maximum I will use all these ideas without omitting any of it.
