Yep. Faceoffs are an art form so I get the resets every once in awhile, but they've been acting like we're all here to watch them like a captive audience. Toss it in the middle from outside the circle, just drop it!

I always thought that a hockey referee is one of the hardest jobs in sports. I try to give them the benefit of the doubt... they're seeing it closer and from a different angle. It's when it's right in front of them, obvious and they get the deer in the headlights look.

That's all well and good, what I hate hate hate is game management, which exists and seems to matter more than what infractions are seen or not seen.

I reffed minor hockey in the past. It's a nitemare. If you call everything they complain you're not letting them play. You let them play and manage the game, and then they complain you're not calling anything.

Of the the refereeing in professional sports in North America they have the best excuse to be bad. Put an average skater on that ice and they would probably be lucky to avoid getting hurt, let alone keep up with the pace of play enough to make a call.
