You guys really need to do your research before you posted this. Atlus does not and has not ever owned Demon's Souls. Sony Computer Entertainment owns the I.P. and allowed Atlus to publish it in the U.S. because they were not sure it would sell well in the west and BANDAI NAMCO only published Dark Souls, Bloodborne is also owned by Sony Computer Entertainment and was published by them too.

1. Atlus does not own the publishing rights to Conception 1 or the first two 7th Dragon games 2. All three are last gen games. Localizing a last-gen game doesn't make any sense from a business perspective, unless they're going to be releasing it on Steam instead.

You have to give them some credit: Far as I am aware, Atlus didn't make Conception at all outside of the sequel's localization and far as I am aware Atlus had literally _nothing_ to do with the first one. Likewise, 7th Dragon was made by imageepoch and the first three games (the second game was a spinoff with a sequel) were published by Sega. I don't know if Sega published III in japan as well though.

Demon's Souls was published by Sony in Asian markets, and was already in English (for some reason). Atlus just, in this case, removed the Asian languages and published it stateside.

This was a general misunderstanding of Atlus US I think a lot of the confusion stems from what games they actually developed and which ones they just brought over. They might have made some localization mistakes in the past but for a very long time now they have brought over everything developed, and even a great amount of their backlog. What they didn't bring over before was simply due to not being able to financially survive bringing over every game they wanted.

Aside from the original SMT series being banned by Nintendo of America, North Americans get almost every game Atlus has developed. In fact we get more modern games from Atlus than Japan does. Conception and 7th Dragon are owned by Spike Chunsoft and Imageepoch respectively.

And If you aren't a person who knows some English(or just English isn't your mother tongue), you're fucked up but there are some things that you can't forgive to Capcom like bringing the Ace Attorney Trilogy remake to EU(and being only Digital Download though) and not use the DS' games translations to other languages in the remake, that was awful because, you know, there are more languages than English in Europe and since you already translated it, why not use the translations? I'm thankful to know English very well but I had to use a guide with Dual Destinies because I didn't knew some words and also, as a backup If I felt lost xD. The worst part of the Capcom thing is that they did it again, and for no reason at all. I get that they didn't localize AAI2 because the first one wasn't as popular as it was expected and the half of the fanbase was still angry because of Apollo Justice (this was most prominent in Japan than other contries; maybe also places where it was published before AA3). Also Capcom was in a monetary crisis. But later, they had more money and also managed to make the fanbase happy again. Dual Destinies was a success and the port for the original trilogy sold well (the updated graphics were bad, but at least some people had the opportunity to buy the games after quantities became limited and prices inflated 10 times the originals). But then they randomly decided that the spin-off, Dai Gyakuten Saiban, wasn't going to be localized, but Gyakuten Saiban 6 would be. It feels like they just automatically think that spin-offs of the series don't work, completely based on the fact that AAI didn't sell well.
