Smooth Criminal is one of Michael's most under appreciated songs on the US charts. It was barely top ten in its first run. It has since gone double platinum if sales. It is one of those rare cases where it over saturated the market with Moonwalker videos and MTv that people didn't need to buy it to hear it all the time.

This is such a cool concept, awesome video! Only note, Van Halen only played the solo. Every other guitar part was done by the highly underrated and perpetually talented Steve Lukather from Toto, including those funky fills. [Edit: Lukather also played the bass on the recording, as well]

Heyas, Charles. Been watching your videos for a few months, absolutely love your playing and your humor. I wonder if you would consider doing a bass version of Frank Zappa’s “Sofa No. 1” - it’s a beautiful piece; and even though it was written for classical guitar, I can’t imagine it being anything less than magnificent after receiving your attention. Also, anything Michael Hedges? Undoubtedly one of the most creative tap guitarists, and a pioneer in the form…maybe “Aura Muunta” or “Spring Buds”? Or just keep doing what you do.
