Ok. I’m bad about getting into a channel and just binge watching. So… time to step away and do what you’ve presented. The theme is what I’m struggling with right now. So I need to narrow that down. I am a maker. My primary passion in making is woodworking. But as a maker… my interests vary. I like making furniture, I like making shop projects. I like making small crafty projects. Love this! I’m a Wordpress Web Designer and I create content all the time when I’m recording how-to videos so my clients learn how to take care of their own websites or just teach them about their tech things… example: showing a client how to clean up and organize their calendar or acuity or google drive… and so on. But they’re all videos that only get shared directly with them lol I guess the theme could be tech support for the 40+ small business owner. And if I’m niche down it would be small business owners who are creating courses and memberships after a successful career and they’re pivoting to do less 1 to 1

I guess my theme is practical wisdom - that's what my grandson feels the world needs and that I have. I'm an educator, I'm making a concerted effort to live a bit more sustainably (but not super restrictive, just sensible), I sew, I cook, I grow food, I'm into psychology and cognitive science (because I'm a teacher), I get very excited about genealogical research, I'm indigenous, I'm nearly 60, I'm a mother of 5 daughters and grandmother to 5 grandsons, I've been broke and I've been financially comfortable, I work from home, I'm a spreadsheet wrangler and summary report writer. I've bookmarked this video and will do it later today. I have a whole spiral notebook full of ideas and how-to references. But I have decided you are my "video buddy". I'm really feeling overwhelmed by the editing process. My son showed me how but it's rather complicated. I like the idea of a weekly vlog and just filming small segments during the week and then editing. I've also decided that I will put a timer on so that I don't overdo it and get sore hands, eyes, arms, and back. If I sit too long it hurts. A little late to the challenge party but taking you popping on my feed as a sign. I'm in real estate but my passion is creating and finding a healthy home as it's literally related to the healthy of the people in the home. I became an agent because, I personally went through the nightmare that comes with finding a hidden mold issue in your home and wanted to help others not have to live the financial and emotional nightmare it turns into when left unchecked. I'm unsure how to keep a focus creating a channel that helps buyers find me to assist them with their home purchase and feel confident they will find a home that doesn't have hidden mold, and sellers alike know how to prevent the issue to begin with. Not sure if I'm overanalyzing/procrastinating or if people will be confused by my channel.. is she an agent or is she a healthy home consultant of sorts.

I'm 63 and have been spent more than 30 years in the Real Estate industry. My favorite experiences are in Real Estate admin positions. I'm "retiring" a day before my 64th birthday. I already have a YT channel and have made a little content about recent Real Estate topics. But I've really struggled because I don't really want to talk about those topics! What I REALLY want to do is share my Real Estate admin knowledge with others and hopefully make a little money along the way! I uploaded yesterday on a Friday afternoon!! And it isn’t the best time but it was the only time I had. My theme is “Soul Tending” which I think will morph into just a channel about all the challenges I am learning to overcome. And I just finished recording a video with no script for today when your video popped up on my feed.

Wow, I love this. I watched your video before and my theme is lifestyle: feel fabulous every day. I'm still working on revamping my KZbin channel. One channel I have is dedicated to my Amazon Product Reviews and my other channel is pretty much nonexistent. I'm wondering if I should revamp it or start a new channel with my theme? This is good stuff!!!

Ok you’ve pushed me over the edge! I’ve been struggling on IG so I’m gonna join you here! I love the fact that videos here can be a little more evergreen- but I always shied away because before everything here seemed so “produced” but I can do it this way (that you’re showing) kinda like a longer form reel (which is where I struggle - short form). Thank Virginia I’m excited about this! And had you told me this morning that I’d even been considering KZbin I’d have told you no way but I’m on board now!😊

I’m turning 50 next month 💃🏻 and I’ve been thinking for years about starting a channel. But I’ve told myself my life is too chaotic. We have a large family… a teenage son hopefully wrapping up his cancer journey 🙏🏼 … and I’ve hit this place in life where I feel like recreating myself 💪🏼… so I literally have no idea what my channel would be about other than that that journey ☺️

I'm in! I have a channel (2 months old) for over 55 dealing with aging parents, retiring and living life to its fullest, BUT I am not relaxed and easy going behind the camera and I fear I'd have nothing to say if I only have bullet points. How did you become so comfortable and sure of yourself ?
