So many people are stuck on James when he says faith without works is dead and that even the devils believe... they don’t understand what James is talking about completely. Matthew 7 is another one people are so stuck on. Not understanding that those are people trusting in their works to get them in heaven and that the will of the father is to simply believe. Thank God for Yankees patience and especially his preaching. There are a lot of tuff nuts out there and I was one. I had to listen to Yankee a hundred times before the message broke the ideas of works based salvation. I was so miserable because as the years went on, my sins increased and was reminded of them all the time. I hated myself but now I know I am saved, Christ paid for all my sins, and God really loves me and now in process of learning to relax in the Lord and I can say I love God, which is weird for me.

This is why I disagree with Calvinsts like Paul Washer , John MacArthur, Todd Friel, and Ray Comfort. They always stress repentance as a sign of salvation. If you haven't grown in holiness, then you weren't really saved. 5. ¶ But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness. 6. Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputeth righteousness without works, 7. Saying, Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered. 8. There definition of repentance is false. Repentance is a change of mind, not turning from sin, which is a work. And don't forget Billy Graham and the Southern Baptist Convention who believe and falsely teach the same works based, false gospel. TITUS 3V5 Jesus did say that He was the good shepherd and that He won’t lose any of His sheep. His sheep hear His voice and follow Him. That’s what a sheep is. Someone who follows the shepherd. @Rapture Trumpet sorry, I believe once saved always saved, if accepting the blood atonement for your sins, believing/trusting in the blood sacrifice of our Lord and savior, we are "sealed" with the Holy Spirit...for ever with us....not to say...we cannot grieve the Holy Spirit and continue in sin, but saved never the less....and I believe we continue to grow in our walk through life, with guideness from the Holy Spirit, if we are open to it...ever learning and growing in Jesus Christ...if we seek Him...but, I will always believe nothing can take us from Him, not even ourselves...that is OT where one could lose Holy Spirit, Jesus had not died/rose and "seal" us with the Holy Spirit....your knowledge is impressive, I must say, but I will always stand firm with OSAS....God Bless

25:57 this is also told in Romans 9:11-13 Shows the first birth is flesh "Esau" and the second of promise "Jacob" is our new birth. The story of the twins spiritually shows our new nature, Esau came out first, then Jacob. Take note that the older will serve the younger. I've heard some preachers who believe in eternal security but they don't go but what Jesus said in John because they say that Jesus hadn't died yet and he was talking to jews not gentiles and moreover, Paul hadn't been revealed yet the gospel of the death, burial and resurrection that is what saves us today, and we should go only by what Paul wrote to gentiles. God never leaves His children. Matthew 28 and Hebrews 13 say so. I recommend watching Bibleline on Galatians 5. Falling from grace is about going back to the law to be justified. In Galatians 5 those galatian christians added circumcision to the Gospel. The Gospel is abiut Christ and what He did for us, His death for our sins, burial and bodily resurrection from the dead. There is no works from us like turning from sins. If you have ever believed the Gospel found in 1 Corinthians 15 to be saved, you are saved, have eternal life and will not be condemned ever.

Eternal Security first shows up in scripture at the Davidic Covenant, and David knew it and thanked God for it. Eternal Security was granted to David and all his heirs which includes Jesus Christ. We are placed in Christ; therefore we are in the line of David. Others in the OT did not have Eternal Security and neither do the Trib Saints, they are in the Lord. A very good sermon but as always there are numerous questions that come to my mind. Just to say that I was once part of an Armenian church community, and it made me go insane. I would say there are degrees of Armenianism where some take the view that OSAS is not biblical, but once lost always lost isn't necessarily true either. Armenians would say that grace is misunderstood eg Titus 2 v 11-12 says that grace teaches the believer to flee from sin. King David said he wanted to be kept from committing the great transgression. The word great in Hebrew is: rav, which carries the idea of many. Rav/great is a multiplier and seems to point to the idea of heaping up sins upon sins as a way of life. God said of the Hebrews in the Wilderness that they had sinned ten times. Ten is not to be taken literally as ten, but denotes a situation where sinners exhaust God's patience having put God to the test despite His offer of grace. Some say that such a situation can be described as presuming upon God's grace. Judas was a wilful thief but this sin in itself was not of itself the problem with Judas being lost. Judas' insatiable lust for money became his nemesis, which eventually led to his utter ruin. Judas regarded filthy lucre to be of greater value than the calling of the gospel, and leaving the assembly to betray his lord he sealed his fate on that darkest of all nights. Judas appears to have established a precedent for wilful sin against the New Covenant. Judas was the first person to forsake the Table of the lord, and by leaving the church to join the side of the enemy (forsaking the assembling of themselves to go back to Judaism: Hebrews 10) he became a traitor ie wilful betrayal was the result of leven having totally corrupted the heart of one who had been called. Other passages like 1 Corinthians 6: 9-11 & Galatians 5: 19-21 seem to argue against OSAS. So on the one hand Paul makes a case against the law for salvation, but equally makes a case for righteous behaviour as a condition for entering the kingdom of God. But the thing that bothers me about the Armeians is the fact they make the grace of God an even more ferocious pedagogue than that of the law which cannot be right.

Paul doesn't do that. You're adding words to scripture. "We should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world in order to obtain salvation in the next." -Titus nothing. For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, Titus 2.11 Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; Titus 2.12 Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; Titus 2.13 The Grace of God is what brings us salvation. Not our ability to fulfill verse 12. v12 isn't a requirement for v11. It doesn't say we MUST. it says we SHOULD live righteously.

The burden of sin was bore upon the cross by the Lord Jesus Christ. Anyone who places the burden of sin upon a sinner to be saved is propagating a false gospel of self-righteousness. Jesus paid it all... and He died in our place taking the punishment we all deserve... Salvation is not doing your best, it is having Christ's best put to your account through repentance and faith. God will not save anyone who is trying to be saved of themselves, He will only save those who know they need a savior and are trusting Him to be saved. The only requirement to be saved is to admit that you are a guilty sinner in God's sight (Romans 3:19-26) and to turn to Jesus Christ in faith trusting in His death burrial and Ressurection (Romans 10:9-13). You must come as an ungodly sinner to be saved. No one has ever been saved except the UNGODLY (Romans 4:5-8). God doesn't save the self-righteous, who are going about to establish their own righteousness (Matthew 7:21-23). We can only be saved by God's righteousness, which is through faith in Christ. Philippians 3:9 says, “And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith.”

Let's move on to Hebrews 6: 4It is impossible for those who have once been enlightened, who have tasted the heavenly gift, who have shared in the Holy Spirit, 5who have tasted the goodness of the word of God and the powers of the coming age- 6and then have fallen away-to be restored again to repentance, because they themselves are crucifying the Son of God all over again and subjecting Him to open shame. (Heb 6:4-6) These scriptures says "shared in the Holy Spirit." How can an unbeliever share in the Holy Spirit? The book of Hebrews is talking to believers, those with faith. But if we love the Lord and our neighbors and we're obedient to Jesus Christ, then we don't have to worry about our salvation. If we sin out of human weakness, we go to Jesus to ask for forgiveness (see 1 John 2:1-2). And having been made perfect, He became the source of eternal salvation to all who obey Him (Heb. 5:9)

Let's look at Hebrews 6:4-6 very carefully: 4 It is impossible for those who have once been enlightened, who have tasted the heavenly gift, who have shared in the Holy Spirit, 5 who have tasted the goodness of the word of God and the powers of the coming age- 6 and then have fallen away-to be restored again to repentance, because they themselves are crucifying the Son of God all over again and subjecting Him to open shame. (Heb 6:4-6) These scriptures say "shared in the Holy Spirit." Again, how can unbelievers share in the Holy Spirit? They can't. But please tell me where it says these people did not "receive Jesus and the Holy Spirit" as you said. It says that they shared in the Holy Spirit. But let's look at Romans 11 in which the apostle Paul is speaking to those with faith in Jesus Christ: 19 You will say then, “Branches were broken off so that I could be grafted in." 20That is correct: They were broken off because of unbelief, but you stand by faith. Do not be arrogant, but be afraid. 21For if God did not spare the natural branches, He will not spare you either. 22Take notice, therefore, of the kindness and severity of God: severity to those who fell, but kindness to you, if you continue in His kindness. Otherwise you also will be cut off. (Rom. 11:19-22) Verse 20 says "you stand by faith." This is how we know that Paul is talking to believers. Then Paul tells these people with faith, "Do not be arrogant, but be afraid. For if God did not spare the natural branches, He will not spare you either." This proves that a person with faith can be "cut off," and they can be cut off by disobedience and unbelief. Let's listen to the apostle Peter: Therefore, my brothers and sisters, make every effort to confirm your calling and election. For if you do these things, you will never stumble, (2 Pet. 1:10) Peter tells "us" to make every effort. We have to be obedient to Jesus Christ. Likewise, a competitor does not receive the crown unless he competes according to the rules (2 Timothy 2:5) It's true that no one can take us out of God's hand, but we can take ourselves out of God's hand by unbelief and disobedience. And having been made perfect, He became the source of eternal salvation to all who obey Him (Heb. 5:9) Peace to you, and may our Lord Jesus return soon.

In regard to Ephesians 4:30, let's go back to chapter 1: And in Him, having heard and believed the word of truth-the gospel of your salvation-you were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit, who is the pledge of our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God’s possession, to the praise of His glory. (Eph. 1:13-14) If we are deliberately sinning, have we heard and believed the word of truth as it says in verse 13? The word of truth, the gospel of our salvation, tells us to stop sinning because sin leads to death. Let's look at this scripture: No one who is born of God will continue to sin, because God's seed remains in them; they cannot go on sinning, because they have been born of God. (1 John 3:9) The apostle John tells us that all unrighteousness is sin, but that not all sin leads to death. So from this statement, there is sin that leads to death (see 1 John 5:16-17) When we're made a new creation in Christ, we grow spiritually from an infant to maturity. During this growing process, our sins should become less and less. Every wave of temptation to sin that we let pass strengthens us for the next wave. This is how endurance is built, and we should never deliberately sin: If we deliberately go on sinning after we have received the knowledge of the truth, no further sacrifice for sins remains, but only a fearful expectation of judgment and of raging fire that will consume all adversaries. (Heb. 10:26-27) Verse 26 is talking about Jesus's sacrifice (see verse 12). We have the free will to choose to sin or not. Sin is a deadly choice (see Romans 6:16). Ultimately, only God knows the heart, and he will judge: For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive his due for the things done in the body, whether good or bad. (2 Cor. 5:10) Paul tells the Corinthians to test themselves to see if they're in the faith, and remember, obedience comes from faith (see Romans 1:5): Examine yourselves to see whether you are in the faith; test yourselves. Can’t you see for yourselves that Jesus Christ is in you-unless you actually fail the test? And I hope you will realize that we have not failed the test. (2 Cor. 13:5-6) So what is this test to see if we're in the faith? Let's look at verse 7: Now we pray to God that you will not do anything wrong-not that we will appear to have stood the test, but that you will do what is right, even if we appear to have failed. (2 Cor. 13:7) The test of faith is not doing anything wrong and doing what is right, and if we sin from human weakness, we go to Jesus to ask for forgiveness as it says in 1 John 2:1-2. We should try our hardest not to sin because the Spirit of Jesus is in our hearts. This is the same Jesus that we read about in the gospels. But I've proven my point that it's possible to lose salvation by unbelief and disobedience, and I agree with you that there are no contradictions in the Bible. God is infinite and perfect; we are imperfect. We simply can't fully understand, but maybe we will one when we're with the Lord. But if we're living in obedience to Jesus Christ and we love the Lord and our neighbors, then we shouldn't have to worry about eternal salvation.

The Yankee gospel is not eternal security. The Yankee gospel is not what John the Baptist preached. It's not what Jesus preached. It's not what Paul preached and it's not what any other apostles preached. The Gospel is repent and believe. It's what is preached in the entire new testament. It comes with many warnings given to believers to AVOID sin. The Yankee gospel is a false gospel from a false teacher. It ignores the warnings given by Christ and the apostles that the saved will bear good fruit and flee sin. Mostly, it ignores the clear teaching that you repent and believe. If you don't repent and believe, you don't believe God and therefore are not saved in the first place. Jesus (who is God) said to repent and believe. He said take the narrow path. He said the branches that are not producing good fruit will be thrown in the fire. And the very last thing he said before he ascended was 19] Go ye therefore, and TEACH ALL NATIONS, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: [20] Teaching them to OBSERVE (=do) ALL THINGS whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen. Repent and believe is included in All the things he commanded and taught.

@@YankeeArnoldMinistries you can "know my view". You are Still wrong. Jesus still says teach EVERYTHING He taught. Repentance is a change in attitude toward sin. You can't be okay with sin And believe God. The apostles teach to avoid sin because CHRIST taught them to teach that because that is what HE taught. If your thoughts are not against sin, you are not in Christ because you don't believe him.
