This is why New Vegas was awesome, they actually had half the soundtrack of the original two games in there.

You're implying that this is the only reason why it is awsome.

Alongside the fact that it was new vegas but yeah the soundtrack too

If you want post-apocalyptic world, then install S.T.A.L.K.E.R. it is far darker than any classic fallout game

Thanks to the power of mods this soundtrack in Fallout 4 has become reality.

Mark Morgans style of using non musical sounds in his tracks is pure genius. Inon zurs entire discography for fallout 3, 4 and new vegas cant hold a candle to "Metallic Monks" or "Vault of The Future"
@DJ_Macphisto4 жыл бұрын
Funny you say that, because New Vegas actually had music such as those two tracks play when no radio was on.

Inon Zur's theme for NCR and Legion were something tho' it's cool

Being honest, fallout was never mainly about the gameplay for me, the atmosphere and world hooked me Little things like the 1st and 2nds atmospheric soundtrack make huuuge impacts on the tone of the games, and putting the old music over fallout 4 made the game like, 10x more atmospheric and cool.

You forgot something: Radiation Storm playing in the Glowing Sea. Having it on loop in the Steam in-game overlay made it x100000 better, and more atmospheric.

Idk, the idea is cool but Mark Morgan's harsh and gritty soundtrack stands out like a sore thumb in 4's colorful wasteland :/

I actually don't think so... For some reason it feels like home with this soundtrack and Inon Zur's Fo4 OST combined.

Use Moribund World Trust me, when you use this coupled with Moribund World, Fallout 4 becomes very creepy, a thing Fallout 4 wasn't meant to be It really gives it a Wasteland Vibe

Sounds like cope; not to mention theres so many filter effects for this game you'd have to be a FOOL to not figure it out... lmfao

It doesn't fit I tried. These games are way too different. You can see huge difference between the studios art approach and everything. Fallout 1 and two are ambient horror and techno tracks. Bethesda made a sunny happy 50's weird sim. Try playing Dragon Ball music in background while playing Fallout 4, fits better than F1&2 I tell you.

F4 was a great disappointment. Its a game I bought on day of release and it felt so shallow mostly from beginning to end. The only part of the game I enjoyed was the linear quest of diving into someones brain. That part of the game being in their memory was cool. other than that felt very shallow. the world (in terms of story world-building) or atmosphere felt fake. New Vegas was the best out of the last 3 in terms of atmosphere of the original.

I sure hope the next elder scrolls game isn't as bad as fallout 4.
@OldCosmicOne4 жыл бұрын
Not every game is trying to copy the atmosphere of the first 2. Fallout 3 had a much better atmosphere than NV and 4, and I would even say the first 2 as well.

The settlement feature left the game empty did we need that many, I never built all of them in a playthrough. Ten bases would have been fine.
@elvispresley22842 жыл бұрын
@@Cyber_Smoke The number of settlements is decent imho, they fucked up the story, gameplay and world building big time, they should have redesigned the whole speech/perk system, hired a better writer than what they had They destroyed skills, and attempted to "replace" them with perks (very dumb idea), and they even did it wrong, not enough perks, and even few of these perks actually mattered. You could use Gunslinger coupled with Strength to make the guns not only do more damage, but also influence certain dialogs, and make the weapons more accurate in VATS, like the guns skill in New Vegas Or maybe they should've added gun degradation, and a repair perk that influences dialog, actions and repair itself But fucking Bethesda can't do shit rigth, who the fuck thougth 4 "Yes" lines with a voiced protagonist IN AN RPG was a good idea? They should fire the one who thougth having an definitive background with the most generic story was good

@@OldCosmicOne while I can agree to some extent, you can't ignore the fact that Fallout 3 is not that original/innovative because it's emulating the exact Fallout 1 "near post-apocalypse" mood. Except this sometimes feels a little off in Fallout 3 because it's set very afar, precisely 200 years after the bombs. That's why, in my headcanon, when I play Fallout 3 I force myself to think it's set a bit closer to the GW, like Fallout 1.
