I'm not that familiar with the arc lighters, but the unfortunate truth with torches like that is no matter how good as the shell is the failure point always comes down to that piezoelectric igniter. Flint just works every time. Even with the wind weakness I would definitely keep the Bic in there just in case.

Torches are nice, more wind resistant, hotter flame, but most use electric strikers which are prone to failure. There are torches that use flint strikers on Ali if you search around, and I've bought a few, they're much more reliable. But if all you care about is reliability, get a Bic, or better still get a 5 pack because the only thing more reliable than a Bic lighter is 5 Bic lighters.

Nerve damage paralyzed the left arm. Thought it was over for me but by the end of summer I was back on the trail and I'm still out there. So hang in.
