@@Yojo64 I mean it feels REALLY convenient that both Requiem's AND what is BASICALLY a proto-requirm in Killer Queen: Bites the Dust* developed the PERFECT ability to accomplish the goal that the character was trying to achieve. Get the arrow away from Diavolo, defeat Diavolo, and ensuring the possibility for Kira to maintain his facade and undo his mistake with Hayato. Like... especially when the characters' abilities had almost nothing to do with the new abilities... ESPECIALLY SCR, ig you could claim that GE also dealt with life, but I feel that's a stretch to connect it to RTZ and the death loop, and BTD might use explosions, but that convoluted sh!t has FAR more to do with Kira's desire to stay anonymous than it did "blowing up time" or whatever. *not saying it's requiem. I well aware that it both literally and conceptually is different, but I feel like it's in somewhat bad faith to disregard the high possibility that the idea of awakening more stand powers with the arrow, or a new, different, arrow in part 5, started with KQ and was expanded into something new and conceptually different later on. I speaking from purely a perspective of Araki's creative process. I find it highly unlikely that the ideas were completely unrelated in their conception. Either Araki had the idea for Requiem already and decided to try something similar at the end of part 4, or araki looked at KQ's second awakening and tried to mix it up into a whole new thing. Characters developing an entire new ability that was PRECISELY what could possibly allow them to win immediately after being stabbed by an arrow is too similar to not feel connected at least from a writing perspective.

Yeah, Requiem iirc is exactly what the user needs at the moment, so in another scenario against another villain GER might’ve done something else, but tbf its power is widely applicable to defeating enemies. Point is, Stone Free Requiem for Giorno at the end of P5 would function the exact same as GER because it’s still the same situation and need against someone who can rush fate and avoid it for himself.
