The whole point of creative writing for established stories is to find interesting what-ifs and think about how they would be possible in a given universe. Just look at all the “what if” channels on KZbin like saladsaiyan, masakoX, and various others who have told interesting stories based off of this exact scenario. Your not allowing yourself to think outside the cannon.
