A man in love will overcome his own objections. My boyfriend was not in a relationship for several years and said that he was not interested in changing his life to try to fit a relationship. I simply said that if the person you’re in a relationship with is a chore, then you’re not in the right relationship. In a great relationship, you want that time with them. You’re not feeling you have to make time. We were friends at the time. But a few months later, he was asking me to dinner and trying to carve out time for us to spend together. Now we’re inseparable. If you’re being the best version of yourself, there is no pleading or convincing required. He will step up, and all you have to do is let him.

1. He's giving to your friends and family, not just you. 2. His friends are very welcoming (or are they grilling you). 3. He's willing to match your pace. 4. He's kind. 5. He finds reasons to be around you.

Both are good signs 3 he like to be at your pace , this sign will not scare off right guy but will scare of the wrong guy , respectful with ur standards 4 is he kind to u ? My partner is still working to figure his feelings. But his actions are very very much giving, kind, respect, all-out doing anything he can to take care of me and be there for me if I need him. He's an avoidant personality (not a narcissist, just avoiding behind hurt), but he's willing to be open and talk about his feelings and concerns slowly... So it's amazing how things are going IMO. One day at a time ❤

Truths! I was hurt by narc and was anxiously attached and now more avoidant! I am very supportive of my partner and loving! I don’t play games or use my traumas as an excuse to destroy hurt anyone! I work on my mental health and worked hard to heal and now still have triggers

By chance I sent a friend request to a man I went out on a couple dates with many years ago and I cut it offbecause I was afraid he was a player. Now when he got my friend request, he immediately started messaging me to find out my situation and within two hours scheduled a date (that involves coming in from another state), and made clear that the few short times we had was not enough for him to find out all about me and he needs more like "two dozen". I had no idea I had made such an impression on him. It was so random that I sent that request!!!

Why? You don't know his mother. She could be a controlling narcissist and if you ever marry him she will be first. She might even control you. If someone judges me based on my relationship with someone else, he's done.

Yes! In my dating coaching I often tell clients, notice how he treats the other women in his life. His mother, sister, friends. The way he speaks of and treats other women is very important. Men's actions speak volumes.

The guy I like is always finding something better to do than being with me. I know he doesn't have strong feelings for me, but keeps telling me things I want to hear so I stay hooked. I hate this situation, but that's all I have.

Just focus on your life and stop paying attention to him. Have fun with your friends and you will remain detached until he doesn’t change his behaviour to spend more time with you. Show him you are not afraid to walk away and lose him if he doesn’t meet your standards. You will find men who will value you and give you all! Be strong!

I do know from my own experience and my dating coaching clients experiences that dating ourselves and raising our energy to better feeling energy we then become an energetic match to someone we'd like to date. Organically meeting them as you're living your life. Good men are everywhere.

In hindsight, I realized that the love bombing I received was ALSO the beginning of isolating me, and stalking. He'd show up at my place when we hadn't scheduled a date and I was looking forward to some down time to think. By constantly being around me, it left no room for other dates, friends, family, or even self reflection. I needed to go slower. If I had told him no then, maybe that would have exposed him or driven him away

Something I should have done. I did try subtly different times to encourage him to do other things. But he seemed hurt, without saying anything. But yeah, it was going too fast and then it imploded. I hate it when people can't pace themselves.

❤ My person and I have not started a proper in person relationship other than a 22 minute in person meeting over a year ago. Even though I'm 99% sure he wants to. He has issues with past wounds etc and 2 sons he needs to consider. But he's choosing not to use me when he could. He's not sure he can give me enough priority. I don't know where this will end up, but I feel my feelings for him (which I've made him fully aware of) are justied that he could/could've been the right sort of person for me.

@@SharieFosterThank you so much, I do appriciate your thoughtful words. He offered me a relationship in March 2023, he then retracted. Then this April 2024 he offered to start seeing me regularly once a fortnight and build a bond. Which I accepted, but he backed out at last minute. He may never feel ready. He now says he needs space, not just for days or weeks or months etc that I gave him, but for years. It's 6 more years till his younger son is 18. So I must accept that he's decided he doesn't want to be with me and move on.

The only thing you can do is get busy with other things so that he has to do more to be with you. As another coach said, men don’t change because you give them more of what they already don’t appreciate. If you become busy with life, he either does more to make sure he doesn’t lose you, or he doesn’t notice. And if he doesn’t notice, it’s time to re-evaluate who you give your heart and energy.
