Yes, absolutely. I'm not inherently beautiful, def not thin, or overtly feminine, but I am kind and accepting. I see men as good and a gift, not in a delusional way. My experience is that men behave as gentlemen towards me. They open doors, grab chairs for me, give up their seat, offer their hand if I walk on unsteady ground. Some men I've know a long time, others are new friends and some are just kind strangers. I've had men young and old run to doors to open them for me. In my heart of hearts I believe in giving, serving and honoring others so maybe on some level that comes across? Certainly the men I know longer term see the honor and respect I give to all people. Men don't try to date me or use me. They dont even ask anything of me, but they do become protective. On many occasions men have expressed they felt free to be men in front of me. That I draw out their masculinity. It's sweet of them to say, but they truly possessed that ability all along. Yes, men are chivalrous!

My ex did all of that. He opened doors, pulled out chairs, walked on the outside all that. We held hands even just riding in the car. We spent almost all of our free time together. He called daily &texted all the time. He also lied lies like it was a second language. The accusations of cheating, the verbal abuse, the constant competition along with a wandering eye made it impossible for me to stay. I did 4yrs like that but eventually his lack of the desire for personal growth made me have to end it. I loved that man😥💪🏿

This is my intake. Many don't have to agree. But I really don't like men to open doors for me or pull out a chair. Because many does it to impress on the first 2 or 3 dates. And if by chance you have decided to be together . All of that demishes. So if they do I will not stop them from doing what they does cause it may be an unhealthy pattern. So I rather leave a man to be themselves than to pretend. They could be into you or not I don't think pulling out a chair or opening doors matters. It's being real from the get go.

I believe there are men out there of all ages who want to be chivalrous but have been yelled at or criticized. Anytime a man holds a door for me, or picks something up off the floor or whatever, I always flash a big smile and say “thank you…how nice to have a big strong guy (doing what he did)”. And if he’s with a woman, I look at her and say, you’re a lucky woman. I would bet that guy had a much better day after that…

And the day I married him, he changed. He was like a complete stranger! It was such a shock and he turned out to be a very nasty narcissist. So now there's the genuine chivalry and the fake chivalry. This past weekend at a restaurant i work at...this regular looking dude came to the door with his bad looking shorty. He walked behind her. She literally stayed in front of the door for 10 seconds. Idk if he thought she was looking at something...and maybe she was a little. But dude didnt even attempt to try to get the door for her. Im like Really?? She stayed there for lie 10/15 seconds. A friend of mine said while her husband and she were walking on a country road, a car veered towards them. Instead of pushing my friend into the safety zone her husband pushed her in front of him so the car would hit her instead. Luckily no one was hit, but it was definitely a wake up call for my friend. When I was younger, I got a lot jerks 20'-30's not opening doors, be courteous or do any nice gentlemanly things to me. They are really not trained or worthy to me actually and turn out to be jerks. Only in my 30's now, I got very chivalry guy, but he didn't open up to me and then bolted out after he told me he want to be my bf. He bounced out next day due to 'man trauma' & then same time date other women alot. Block me all suddenly and then expect me be good naaahh ahhhh. I just recently had a man from taliland message me on Instagram and never asked anything sexually and seemed like a genuine person but then when he said he was Roman Catholic I hesitated he only wanted to be friends which was cool with me cause I'm not ready for a relationship anyway but when I ask if he might wanna talk on the phone he said he worked on oil rig and was not able to talk on the phone all the time but asked me to sign up for Google chat lol so then I was like I wonder do I went online researching scammers and found a lot of people were saying they were scammers out here pretending to be someone they were not but then this person has not asked me for money but I feel like something is off I don't know maybe there fine but to me it's just a little skeptically but then I have been praying for God to show me what I need to work on to meet the right person later in life and this man said he doesn't like it when people get angry pretty much everything Stephan speaks about and I'm just like I wonder if this person is legit I don't honestly wanna jump to the wrong conclusions but w serious of events have happened to me in the last week and it's overwhelming to understand sometimes now this person said they have a home in Thailand and that they are currently in Canada on oil rig but said he was an engineer I don't know honestly I don't wanna jump to conclusions but someone I have never meant it's hard to believe everything someone says. But if it is true that would be wonderful but I'm pentecostal I believe in the holy spirit and his roman Catholic and I don't know much about Catholics but I do not think they believe in the true way to salvation so I don't know that that aligns with me.

It isn't strange to have men portraying a stable self, while on the other hand they sketch a scenario contrary to what they first told you. Not only are they scammers... sometimes they might be prisoners as well. Look at the chat history. If you notice there is a shift in the grammar then you are dealing with scammers. If they are consistent in grammar and storyline, but some parts are missing, they might be prisoners. That aside... if you are Pentecostal and you are well aware of the differences between Pentecostals and Catholics, why bother yourself forming a relationship that's unequally joked? If your intuition is telling you something is off then something IS off. And yes Scammers dont ask for money right off the bat, they gotta build you up for manipulation before doing that. Also I don't see any reason to socialize with someone far off who says they want fo be friends but only text, no voice calls/video chat. Seems like a p boring waste of time situation to me. (Side note: I have a friend whos husband works in oil rigs yes they call each other when they get stable service so its doable)
