That was my first Festool purchase a few years back. Definitely a gateway drug. The plunge base drew me in.

Ok you love the tool but where do you evaluate what makes it worth the Festool price compared to competitors? Noise, vibration, power etc. I own the original Fein and many Festools

Mr. Dojo, if I didn't already own one, you would have made me buy one! 😎 I don't use mine as much as you do, but when I do it works very well. I'm sure that there are other quality multi-tools out there, but I haven't seen any that have the accessories that the VECTURO has. I used it to cut a short false wall in half, widthwise to make room for a refrigerator. It cut through the 2x4"s with ease, and the sheetrock with minimal dust left behind. The dust collection is outstanding. I tried cutting it with a various other saws but they either didn't fit into the area, or the dust they made was flying everywhere. It was the perfect tool for the task. All the Best, Chuck

I dont see the thinking behind picking the multitool as its a Fein machine just clad in festool plastics with some clever attachments . I have it but id happily trade it for the Fein machine and take the Festool Domino as no one else makes one . Then probably the CTL midi then the Kapex but neither are revolutionary just best in field.

I agree the multi-tool is extremely versatile. I've had my eye on the vecturo for a while now to replace my cordless single-speed dewalt. Maybe this is controversial but I don't think a multi-tool has a place in woodworking. For the trades, MRO, remodelers, carpenters, or DIY it is a must have. For a woodworking project I struggle to think of a great use other than maybe fixing a mistake ;) Now, if fein/festool would just put an LED light on the front I'd buy it today!

The original Fein is unbeatable.

Very good points, but for what I do it’s invaluable, and you are right an LED would be fantastic

There are so many and I'm sure the festool version is the most refined. I might go for it if my fein ever dies, mine is electric. If you're in the us the starlock system isn't very common in the big box stores to get blades, which is the only bad thing. I think fein, bosch and festool only use the starlock system.

I had a cheap one first then bought a dewalt. The trigger started playing up. So got rid of it and bought this model. It’s the daddy with soooo much sauce. I love it👍

After 4 years of having a fein STARLOCK. I still haven’t got into proper practice of pressing the bits in without going for the middle first.. DONT DO THAT, IT HURTS. 😂 another great video mate. 👍🏻

many people complain about festool for being overly priced - the ones who don't own any festool obviously. Having many festool products I know they are worth their value. But in this case I would have to call this particular tool and elitist tool because it does no better than a $200 Milwaukee multitool. The huge selling point of this seems to be the plunge base. Well a block of wood to guide a Milwaukee blade works equally well, if not better since you have a zero clearance of sorts on one side, and you don't have to unpack a whole bunch of fancy jigs and click them all together. This tool is strictly a festool collectors tool and sure it's great but it's not that much greater than the cheaper alternatives at $800. I have only found less than five videos from actual people who use this. there are about 100 made by fesstool about this tool. so that tells you something right there. A multi tool is meant to take care of awkward cuts in awkward situations it is not a finishing tool it doesn't leave a glass smooth cut so no matter how fancy the festool looks, it's purpose is still basic and can be accomplished by many much cheaper brands.

Very good point, and are absolutely right, but don’t forget the batteries, if you are Invested in either the festool or any other platform it makes sense to stay with that company, But nice points 👍🏽

This is just a Festool fan boy getting paid for claiming without any reasoning that the tool is great. What a waste of Festool’s money. It is actually a very good tool that does much more than “cutting nails”. There are many better YTs showing what a multitool can do. The reason for paying twice the price for a Festool multitool is the superb engineering, the innovative accessories and the peerless after-sales service.
