Hello, everyone! Today, we're doing something a little different. I'm out on some saltwater flats trying to intercept some of the last remaining large(r) stripers of the year. As I was out there, I was thinking about "if I could only have 1 rod combo for fresh or salt...this would be it". So, I tried to incorporate that into the video, too. I've fished a bunch of TFO rods over the years, but this 1 is special - esp. for the price. It's a true mod-fast action which lends itself to being a more versatile rod and it can handle big saltwater fish (as shown in the video), cast light & heavy baits, and protect light leaders. So, for most freshwater fish in most parts of the country....this will be plenty of rod, too. I've fished this rod hard in both fresh and salt and it's held up very well - just rinse it down with freshwater after fishing in the salt. And it's a good-value, as well. The 7'6" is $120....and if you pair that up w/ a sale....you've got a great rod for ~$100 to use in both fresh & salt. It's got well-sized guides to pass braid-to-leader knots. It's got a shorter butt which is great for a kayak or anytime that you're twitching a bait like a fluke or a spook. If I could have only 1 rod combo to fish fresh or salt, this would be it(!) (see specs below). So, come along with me, as I head out onto the flats to chase (& catch) some striped bass.
