I was fishing and wading through the Verde River. Multiple horses came into the river, jumping and neighing. I was admiring them and then a Bald Eagle came swooping in behind me and landed in the River. I was immersed in nature. Arizona has beautiful sights.

We've seen them almost every time we go tubing in the summer, and they are definitely a beautiful sight to behold, especially knowing that they are free roaming!! And if you've never tubed down the Salt River, I highly recommend it!! They're open from Memorial Day to Labor Day, you can take the short route or the long route, and it's so relaxing and fun. For my mom's 80th birthday this past June that's what she wanted to do, and we all had a great time, and even at 80, she loved it!!

I used to take my jeep with the plate that said "Desert Rat" to the stock shop and load up bales of hay, sweet feed and huge bags of carrots. I would drive out to a certain spot in the desert, unload and sit back and play my wood flute. A huge herd of horses with a gigantic mule would come down off the mesa to eat and visit me, the mule was the leader of the herd, his mouth stood 2 ft. above my head. I did this for many years and then one day a ranger came and told me what I was doing was great, just don't touch the mule. I had never touched any of them. I guess if you touch a wild mule, there are heavy fines. A few years later they blocked of all the ways to get to that section of desert and started installing huge pipe. I never saw my wild herd again. This was thirty some years ago.

I was literally driving that route yesterday. Lol. Butcher Jones area is sometimes a good spot to find those horses. I was there once when about 5 or 6 of those horses came walking up and started frolicking on the beach. It was cool. Also, that whole area has changed dramatically in just the past 20 years. I remember here in the early 2000's you could literally drive your 4x4 right up next to the river. It wasn't uncommon to be tubing the river and have it lined with trucks and Jeeps parked right on the shore. Especially around the area where the bridge goes over the river. Now it's all blocked off and it's probably a good 50 yards from the new parking lot to the shoreline. Ah...the good ol days.

Some 40 years ago when my family moved from Missouri to Mesa AZ, Granite Reef was our favorite week end past time. Some time during the year we would venture to Segfuro lake. I'd always heard of the wild horses, but never saw them. What amazes me most is what one can see via drone. Your drone flights not only brings back memories, but offer totally new vistas of experience. Thank you. I'm now in the Verde Valley for the last 30 years. Totally enjoyed your excursion from Prescott Valley to Jerome, so hope you also include vistas in this area more. There's so much here to see and marvel at, yet nothing like what your drone ingenuity could avail as new experiences of old familiar terrain.

Gorgeous shots, Jessie! That is one of my favorite spots to fly as well. I was lucky enough to be there when they did the water release and was able to catch it. Great work!

Really enjoying these Arizona videos. I lived in Mesa back in the mid '80s and sadly have not been back there to visit since 2000.😭

In the 70s, I worked on wild horse roundups in Arizona and Oregon. We gentle broke them. They are incredibly awesome critters. Wicked smart sure footed and loyal. Natural selection is a thing for sure.

Just discovered your chanel and absolutely love it. (apart from the scary jump outs in the cave that is). Your choice of misic is also very fitting. great work.

Nice video, nothing like wild horses, and you got them on steroids. Nice I was going to bust your chops about the pink key fob and then I realized how easy it was to see how many times I can’t find my key because of my black key fob. I think I’m gonna get pink one too. That’s a great story about that little Power plant in Phoenix. I’m glad they refurbished it. Nice vid.🍻

Excellent video ! Of course I'm very biased as I'm a very proud 4th generation Arizona native from Chandler. Your videos bring much needed awareness to the interesting and beautiful spots close to the Valley. You hit so many of the lesser known spots that are " known" to us that have lived , worked and played here. Personally speaking, your videos are so spectacular in nature that the Arizona Tourism Authority should get in touch with you as they ( your videos) are that good. Truly impressed ! Keep up the wonderful work that you do. We appreciate you ! Big Time Regards from Chandler !
