Are you able to explore abandoned mine shafts with your drone? We moved to Arizona from Illinois in 1963 and for the 7 years we lived there, camped and in the Arizona wilderness nearly EVERY weekend. I remember as a child collecting Apache Tears somewhere in Calaveras County, Northern California. A guide also took our crew of “rock hounds” to a secretive vein of Honey Onyx. We were able to knock out several large specimens. My parents were in a Lapidary club, and having a good sized workshop, several Diamond blade saws resided there for Few years. I recall the sounds of saws running through the night to create slabs from which to cut jewelry specimens. Fun times for my twin Bro and I growing up in Vallejo CA. (Mid-1960’s)

The chest viewpoint was an interesting change but I think I prefer the drone viewpoint. It boggles my mind that people will chip away at the columns that are holding tons of rock over their heads. Some day somebody is going to give one last tap in there and they will have to bring in a back hoe to dig the body out. The area just outside of that "cave" also has a lot of large Apache Tears and there isn't tons of rock overhead. Looks like it's gotten overgrown out there in the past few years, though. BTW, there's a shiny square thing on top of a mountain the middle of Bulldog Canyon OHV area that would be perfect to explore with your drone. I haven't been able to find a way to climb up there so I either have to talk you into investigating or invest in a drone myself. I'll send coordinates if you're interested.

back in the 70s, my family went to "Apache Tear Cave," and I was too young to remember, but I believe it was a paid attraction. We brought home a bunch of "Apache Tears rocks." We have a photo of my Grandma sitting there, and she looks like she is on the moon. Growing up in Tucson, my dad would take us rock hounding, and we would visit ghost towns and other local attractions. My dad is a very ethical person, and I doubt we would have done anything destructive if it was not allowed. From what I remember the Apache tears were plentiful and we were able to gather some from the ground. I remember a similar scenario with collecting rose quartz.

@littledabwilldoya97178 сағат бұрын
That’s what I thought, too. I’m from northern Michigan, in the Upper Peninsula, and we have Bald Eagles here. My property abuts the Seney National Wildlife Refugee, on the Mississippi Flyway. The eagles here build their nests in the tops of huge, (usually) dead White Pine trees, that can support the 150lb-300lb nests they construct. They add to them every year, repairing and fortifying them in prep for that year’s chicks. Ospreys have very large nests, too, but they live near water, because their diet is primarily fish.

10:05 Based on my limited knowledge of geology, those caves with the obsidian are made up of what's called "welded tuff" which is a type of volcanic rock that is created when a super high-energy volcanic eruption buries an area in ash and rock, most likely via a lahar (a burning-hot volcanic avalanche), which is so hot that the deposited ash partially re-melts until it slowly cools into solid rock. The most likely source of this ash and obsidian was from a chain of extinct one-off super-volcanoes that erupted across Utah, Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, and Northern Mexico during the Mid-Tertiary Ignimbrite Flare-Up Event 25-40 million years ago. I would have to know more about the local geology to tell you for sure.

California Condors apparently have been re-introduced to Arizona, Utah, Nevada, New Mexico. Wouldn't be too terribly surprised if that was a Condor's nest. The fenced-off caves reminds me of the Leper's Colony, from 1959's "Ben-Hur", starring the indomitable Charlton Heston. Judah's Mother and Sister contracted the horrible disease while imprisoned in an Imperial Roman dungeon. He discovers them in the Colony outside Jerusalem some time later and takes care of them. In the meantime, a few weeks later, Jesus of Nazareth is breathing His last, up upon His Cross. At the moment of His passing, all manner of cataclysms break loose, but as they abate, Judah discovers the Miracle that Mom & Sis--were cured by Him--as He ascended to Heaven! How cool and glorious!! The first guitar track in this Piece, reminds me of Nokie Edwards (The Ventures); Hank Marvin (The Shadows); The Tornadoes/"Telstar"--or Tony Iommi (Black Sabbath) & Link Wray, in their quieter modes. Link helped create Metal Rock WAY BACK in 1957, with his short yet EPIC instrumental, "Rumble". I was just two, at the time. Or something that Ennio Morricone might cook up for a Spaghetti Western!! Would be kinda neat, if drones could swoop down with little pincers, and bring back those objects to you, items that weigh not more than, say, 5 Grammes? But, I guess that may be too much for an operator to fuss with! Like big-boy Coast Guard 'copters rescuing those at peril in the sea.

I bird hunt that area around that obsidian mine … if you do a little closer to summers end, you can end your rattle snake bucket list. It’s loaded with them.

Up by Flagstaff, you can find Apache tears on the ground to pick up handfuls of them so you don’t have to destroy rocks to get them. Sad.

haha thanks! I'm not completely against those FVP drones, they can be useful for somethings, but the majority of the time.....I cant stand them!

@jessiesdroneadventures7464 same here I bought a tsrc q7 drone just for the 4k uhd camera I didn't have it for a week and already broke 2 props but I plan to use mine for hiking and if I can possibly get good enough maybe do some drone urbex flying but I do enjoy this channel already I'm also curious about how long the batteries last with yours lol
@jessiesdroneadventures7464Күн бұрын
@@SittingWolfFPVandParanormal420 Drone urbex is fun!!!! I dont do as much Urbex as I use to, but it doesnt mean I wont get into it again! for the drone that I have they make 2 batteries, one that has 34 minutes of flight time and the other has 45 minutes of flight time....and I have a total of 12 batteries. Can never have enough batteries when you have a drone!!!

Have you tried a helmet mount or hat mount? The chesty works great when hiking or walking but points downward while biking. Those drone follows are great though! 😃💪🏻💥

Your video is one worth noting to many who search Mars videos and images of 'anomalous' objects; like human/alien-shaped artifacts... the mind is a power and sometimes misleading thing. The mind will often make images out of things that are simply not real -- it is called, pareidolia -- case in point here; the Mud 'human' figure in the cave. I am sure those who saw it in the first video ran wild with ideas and speculation but now given the fact that you have once more ventured to get a better image of the object, the wild ideas can be laid to rest. Fantastic; never believe what you see is real until you know all the facts.

@@jessiesdroneadventures7464 I use to live in Flagstaff back in '77/'78 when I was a child of 10. Sadly, I never got a chance to see the sites while there. But I loved my time there, and now I'd love to go back... so much to see and explore; so many ancient sites and geological sites. Throughout my teen years in Northern California (Butte County), I managed to spend a lot of time exploring our outdoors. I now live here in L.A., and haven't been able to do it as much as I want; we have a lot here to see and explore, a lot in the surrounding desert areas that I've Google Earth searched worth exploring... I'm hoping one day I can get out to do it. Anyway, as I mentioned, stay safe; there's always some risk in exploring great sites, but it is what makes them worth the effort.

@jessiesdroneadventures74647 күн бұрын
@s.f.morris7331 it's got a feature called "active track" aka Follow mode. I point my drone at me so that way it knows what subject to track, then I press record and it will follow me wherever I go
