Your covers are always so brilliantly spot on, and I’ve never seen anyone truly get the unique Lennon rhythm guitar style as well as you do; it’s always what my ear is listening for. John had such an amazing right hand and unusual chord vocabulary and seldom did the same thing twice but you do your homework and have great ears.

Beautiful job. George wasted no time learning how to play his new guitar, did he? So glad they let him incorporate it into as many songs as they did. It did a lot to give the Beatles their first change in sound after they blew our minds with "I Want to Hold Your Hand", et all. Change was what they were all about. Never resting on past success or repeating themselves.

This song has always been my favorite song coming from the album something new by The Beatles. It really takes me back to 1974 because that’s the first time I heard that song, bring back a lot of memories during that time and by the way, I was 10 at that time!😀✌️

What a sound… the magic is in the marriage of two very unique and now legendary instruments. The full chords that George is playing are an integral part of why The Beatles were considered the greatest pop group ever. Just listen to the bass notes over top of the chords. This was a Beatles technique, made their music singular. If you wanna sound like the Beatles, you have to play like them. Having the same gear doesn’t hurt either.

Yes I spent hours and hours listening to isolated tracks. Ably did a fantastic job, but i try to stay away from seeing how others play it on KZbin and stick with my ears

Great job as always! Just one correction. For George's picking part, using the flat pick as you do, your pattern is correct but your pick direction is not. You're going two down, two up. He used ALL down-strokes and you can see this clearly in the Beatles Cow Palace footage from Aug 19th, 1964. This makes a difference on a 12 string because the upstrokes are striking what should be the sympathetic note. Slow the playback speed, under settings, to 0.5% and you can see him do all down strokes. Cue to the 5:10 mark.
