what finally broke me was going on a cruise. I was constantly outside, worked out in the gym every day on the cruise, super tan from greece's crazy UV's, became the life of the party and i actually didnt have to talk to anyone. I was just being nice and being out there and dressing well. And dressing well doesnt always have to be what every guy wears. I have piercings and fun looking button downs with white jeans and a starwars seatbelt as my belt and hair longer than Hozier. I tell you what when you develop your own style outside of the established norm you stick out in a VERY good way. and then a guy tells me i need to go talk to two girls sitting to the side who want to meet me and the BOTH flirted with me. it was unreal and ever since my confidence has been through the roof and my mood is 100% better but, Im still a gamer, i still spend most of the time inside. You dont HAVE to be an extrovert, you just have to be able to put yourself out there and be confident in yourself even with a low social battery

@@vicerichter1163 you say that but whats stopping you from growing your hair out and using products to make it look good? Whats stopping you from having moisturizer on? You can shave your beard or you can actually care for it with shampoo and conditioner. I wear fun clothes and nerdy accessories that make me more approachable. Wearing a t shirt and looking like you dont care for yourself gives them an impression that youre depressed and lets face it, people who are happy really dont want to talk to someone who is depressed at a party, club, bar, or convention. It ruins the mood. Look fun and be fun or be chill if thats your vibe. Practice having a smile once in a while and break down the barriers that you have to look stoic all the time for whatever reason. Hell im like 125. I may not be overweight but im far from "peak male phisique" its not like women crawl all over me the moment i step through a door it always has been and will be mostly about presentation and girls who are surface level will look at you on surface level. Being fun will attract REAL people. I had a friend who was massively overweight in HS but he was so fun to talk to and be around so when i asked my crush out she rejected me fully then later dated him. His personality beat looks and it taught me a lot about my depression ridden life driving people away

This will also benefit your career, which in turn will boost your confidence further.
