My all time favourite song from summer of 1979 when I had first met my wife at 9 years old on a holiday camp in Croyde (North Devon) but it was in 1989 that we had met up again at university to become an item and married in 1995. This song always evokes those memories.

Andy Davis and James warren were once members of an incredible band known as Stackridge -- incredible enough to have been produced by The Beatles' George Martin. "Extravaganza," & "Pinafore Days," are the earlier LPs to check out. This song by Korgis is basically Stackridge with a more commercial approach.
@sultan4swing4 жыл бұрын
Right on.. see my comments on Everybody's Gotta Learn Sometime...... Stackridge were one of my fav bands in the mid 1970's.... very much a cult band with a fantastic repertoire of intelligent songs across a wide musical spectrum . A big influence when I was getting on with playing guitar, singing and gigging... So luck then also to hear another fav cult band - Sailor - not everyone's taste but loved the infectious latin rhythms - still sing and play their songs today.... as with 'Everybody's'...…There is a great compilation of Stackridge's songs available from Amazon.... including: Road to Venezuela, Dora the Female Explorer, Anyone for Tennis, Percy the Penguin etc etc etc. Davis and Warren were the artistic heart of this band ….
