I was in the maternity hospital waiting for my son to be born,I was in hospital 8 weeks,I listened to this song on my hospital radio head phones,if I had you....if only I knew the pure sadness...that I'm feeling today.,40 years after.

I wish I'd had a time machine back then, so I could go forward in time to when I was happier as a middle-aged man. The past sucks. You are just suffering from nostalgia which blocks out the shit you don't want to remember. Even if your life was undeniably perfect, not everybody was blessed this way.

One of my all time favourite songs. I cannot understand why it's so underrated. I have never heard this on the radio for 30 years, and I find that incredible to believe, but it's 100% true. Any radio DJ's out there, please explain !!!

James Warren & Andy Davis - 2 of the UKs greatest song writers. Apart from The Korgis hit singles & 2 albums , they have also recorded 7 albums with their main band Stackridge, all packed with fantastic tunes . Bonus ? They are still out there playing live in the UK with a 7 piece band.

Wonderful. British music at it's absoulute best. The Korgies music really stirs the emotions and gets you in the heart..my favourite band of all time. Just listen to those strings.wish I could get the same sound on my synths, music dosent get any better than this. LOL.

Havent heard this for almost 20 years. Certain songs take you back to a time and place with fond memories, this is one of them. Takes me back to happy childhood memories in 1979. Loved the late 70's and early 80's, a special magical time which I would love to repeat ut now only have the memories of days gone by.

I can't help but get very emotional when listening to this band. Such beautiful music. Sometimes, it touches my heart so deeply. I can't listen. It reminds me of better days so long ago before the rain set in and I died inside. my life fell apart. Now I live in limbo. ewaiting for true love, that never comes, and my black cloud to vanish.

No need to feel miserable about missing this music . James & Andy ( The Korgis ) are on tour in the UK in April & May with their usual band -Stackridge . They often include a Korgis song or two in their live set. People are often surprised to find that the main men in Stackridge also wrote & performed hit songs as The Korgis.

i really wasn't into this stuff, but i woke up this morning with the chorus going round in my head, got the words wrong, so it took me ages to find it on lyric search lol, but my god how good it is, took me straight back to the hormones and heartache, must be the same for all those that are lucky and still here to remember
