Transitioning from a CNA back into tech (Used to be helpdesk way back) gonna work on certs while I finish my contract. Hubby has some health issues that came up these past couple months and i'm getting ready to be the sole provider for a family of 4. Setting goals for a better future 💚

Thank you for this video! It definitely makes more sense than chasing the certification first. I’m plugged in brother! Your content is super helpful and inspiring.

I'm a Tier 2 IT Specialist for a federal government agency and was looking to get in cybersecurity. Participated in your CASP program. I participated in an internship to get W into compliance. New roles were added to my government job that caused me to time out of your program before I could get any help with resume or linkedn supercharged. Now I'm back doing helpdesk stuff, data analytics and other IT tech roles. I do have a six-figure earning role just not in cybersecurity. I learned a very expensive lesson.

I just finished google IT cert earlier this year. Right now I’m taking on tasks inside and outside my job to get some stuff on my resume in effort to give it some substance for a future job.

Ok, I am a CDL truck driver for a small trucking company. I drive for about 10 hours a day and have no room to do other things at my job. How would I go about pursuing a tech job?
@chasmaserati69683 ай бұрын
I'd start off looking for low voltage jobs first so you can get used to the equipment the cabling goes patches into and get first hand experience in an environment that uses some of the terminology. Alot of temp agencies will hire newbies and teach you however the pay is ridiculously low for this economy so have some money to get by until you learn the cabling aspect which should take a couple of months before you feel comfortable then you can start looking for a job that pays alot better. Eventually you'll meet some people at a data center or a central office or even a restaurant that work with configuring the equipment and you can start asking questions. If you're driven you should be able to make the jump into networking within a year or so it just depends on how you communicate with people as well. Good Luck!!!!

My question is the company I actually work for which is an airline don't run the tech department at all, and I would love to stay at the company because of the perks and benefits. However I do want to make more money and learn tech the tech department is actually at another airline that owns us which is considered the main line and I work for the secondary company... how would I approach this scenario? Is it possible to get a remote tech job or cyber security job remotely? So I can have both? Can't wait to hear back this is my only dilemma..I'm in Chicago so hoping it's a big hub for remote work

@@leoluv729 I’d ask your manager if the company offers on-the-job training or shadowing. Many companies are launching internal programs to help people transition into tech.
