As someone who started reading King around 2010, I like his newer stuff a lot more than his “classics”. But I think it’s just a meme at this point; everyone thinks something years ago is so much better than anything new. Which is ridiculous. But nostalgia is a strong drug.

I honestly think that Under the dome is very underrated. From all the Stephen King books I have read it's definitely one of my favourites.

You could go into “If It Bleeds” (The short story) without really knowing King if you just want a good plot and don’t care about the characters. However, it’s an entirely different experience if you’ve read the Bill Hodges trilogy and The Outsider just because the character growth adds something to it. I read the Outsider without reading the Bill Hodges trilogy just because I didn’t know it was connected, but after I completed the BH trilogy I went back and read the Outsider and it was a lot better.

My first Stephen king book was Desperation. I’ve loved him ever since. Highly recommend 11/22/63. Wonderful book.

Yeah,11/22/63 is one of my favorite books of all time. I don't get people that don't enjoy that book.

my favorite story was the life of Chuck. It made me feel some type of way i can't even describe; i was crying in public (while taking the subway on my way to college). idk, but it's so crazy how a story can make you change ur opinions and perspectives. honestly, i'm so happy that i took that book months ago, def something in me changed. (the funny part ig is that it changed me even though is not an inspirational book)

The Life of Chuck was sooooooo f'n weird, that I couldn't help but like it, but, I did feel like it could've been a whole novel on its own
