I didn't know goats got rabies shots and I grew up on a goat dairy. In fact I don't know what was in the vaccine's we gave the goats. The vet came out to the dairy and the goats lined up. The vet did his thing and it was like an assembly line, someone drawing up this one, another drawing up that. Then someone gave the shots, someone gave worm medicine. After that they got their hooves trimmed and some molasses and grain.

Thanks for watching Yes you can vaccinate goats for rabies, in fact I just spoke with the vet office about it. The prevailing thought is that it is extremely rare for goats to get rabies. Likely what you remember is a blood test for pregnancy/parasites/general health and the vaccine is for CDT, I also vaccinate for CDT. My goats get a grain pellet that suppresses a common parasite and has molasses in mix. They love those pellets. I have dewormer on hand and use it as needed. My vet suggested reducing exposure to dewormer in order to reduce tolerance in the parasites. Thanks for watching and sharing
