Am curious about how often such ramen stands get inspected by the city health inspector. Do they need some kind of permit or license to set up and sell their food?

Yes. In Fukuoka, Japan (where this is located), the Yatai are licensed by the municipal government and subject to health inspections.

I was wondering, they worked at the food stall and they live in that city, is it worth for their lifestyle? Are they getting enough earning to live ?
