This was my first exposure to Scary Pockets and I still don't know exactly what its all about but I have digested 15 or so performances since my introduction to them yesterday and I imagine I will see every one of their recorded performances in the next few days. This is just plain good. What a mood elevator. Side note: Acid washed jeans, skinny belt, black top, and the most smoothyistic (yeah, I said it, smoothyistic) satin voice filtered through red lipstick....Yowza...I had to turn off my screen and listen to the vocals without looking so I could really hear her voice. Great cover ❤️ Laughed out loud at 2:04 when the bass player started tapping the beat with both feet 😄

That was truly gorgeous--a great cover! The KZbin algorithm chose well in recommending this video, as this channel is new to me. I subscribed and look forward to exploring more of your videos. Being married to a "Lifetime Musician", he's taught me the signs of a band who really enjoys working together. Sharing because I saw those signs in your performance here. Well done and bravo! :)

Might be my favourite. India is my favourite SP vocalist - such a tough call considering the incredible stable of vocalists that are in your band. Sam and Lemar are my favourite rhythm section - also a very tough call considering the incredible bassists and drummers that feature in your roster. From 2:02 onwards, y'all reach heights few bands ever do. So tight, so pristine. Can listen to it for days without getting bored. Incredible work, y'all.

This is just so damn good to my ears. I think one of the best things you all have done. The vocals and the bass are so over the top. Thank you!

When you were here before Couldn't look you in the eye You're just like an angel Your skin makes me cry You float like a feather In a beautiful world And I wish I was special You're so fuckin' special But I'm a creep, I'm a weirdo. What the hell am I doing here? I don't belong here. I don't care if it hurts I want to have control I want a perfect body I want a perfect soul I want you to notice When I'm not around You're so fuckin' special I wish I was special But I'm a creep, I'm a weirdo. What the hell am I doing here? I don't belong here.

That’s because this is not funk, it’s soul or r&b, a.k.a. Watered-down funk.

It's like the song cycled into a manic phase and forgot to take it's meds. In another way of thinking the song found the soul. I love 💗 it and am amazed at how people create mashups. 🎉 😊
