Kira was always smart. VERY smart. The only problem was that he was NEVER a fighter, and never had a stand battle before in his life. Despite his inexperience in battle, he was able to calculate some admittedly simple trigonometry to stage great attacks against the duwang gang, he used atom heart father and stray cat to his advantage to create INVISIBLE homing attacks, knew how to keep distance from his own splash damage, and could improvize quite well. But he lacked experience with stand battles. After all, he's a silent killer down to his core. His specialty was either sneaking up for a kill or setting traps. Not head-to-head fights. I hate when they call Kira stupid. After all, the battle against Kira was never about FIGHTING him; it was about FINDING him. That was the whole point of the part.

Honestly most of these tricks wouldn't work for two reasons, 1) When Killer Queen turns a non-living object into a bomb it gains the ability to hurt him too, that's why he didn't detonate Stray Cat's Air bubble after Josuke started got too close to him in the final fight. Realistically Kira would never turn something he was hiding in into a bomb because it would almost certainly kill him too. And reason 2) Killer Queen can only turn something into a bomb by touching them with his hands. There's no way he can slyly turn a pavement tile into a bomb with his foot whilst walking, he has to make Killer Queen manifest facing down and touch it with its hands, which makes it way easier to tell what has and hasn't turned into a bomb

I don’t think Kira’s explosions ever hurt him. Remember when he touched that dudes face to get the girl’s hand. The guy was like an inch or two from his actual face, exploded, and Kira just keeps walking. If I had to guess I’d think that maybe by nature, by bombs explode around Kira or away from him.
