How many times did Jordan average 30+ when he was winning championships, Shannon? 5 times if you round it, 4 if you use decimals. Only one he didn't make it, is his last season in Chicago where he played with an injured shooting finger and played in the slowest paced season of the 90's where no one really shined in terms of scoring. He still averaged way over 30 in the Play Offs, though. Actually Jordan has been the MVP, Finals MVP, scoring champion and Play Offs scoring champion (all way over 30 ppg) in 4 seasons. 1991, 1992, 1996 and 1998 (at age 35!). All other players in NBA history? 1 time! Shaq in 2000, which was a historic year for him, that noone else was able to reach... except it was the norm for Jordan. @@sharifnasser7635 No doubt. Just like Magic and Bird in the 80s or Kobe and Duncan in 2000s. LeBron is an all-time great, top 5. But Jordan dominated like no other. Only Wilt could compare individually. His stats are inflated, though, due to the league's fastest pace ever which resulted in absurd rebounding and scoring numbers but if you look at it closely Wilt is nowhere near the top in rebounding %. And he obviously never had the team success that Jordan had. Kareem had great team success but 4/6 tiles came after he stopped being the leader of the team. That's a worse ratio than Kobe. Russell obviously is the gold standard for winning but this was a team effort and he was a poor offensive player. Amazing athlete and defender that he was. MJ did it all. He was both the best individual and team player of his time, which is extremely rare. Even if we take out the MVP awards from my original post, only Kareem (x1) and Shaq (x1) have won a championship the same year they were scoring champions. Every time Shannon starts with this kind of argument, all you have to do is site Jordan's 88-89 season. 32/8/8, almost 3 steals per game, lead the league in minutes, shot 54% from the floors (as a 2 guard!!!) and 85% from the line. Lebron has never had a season like this in his entire career.
@joostwillem85963 жыл бұрын
Did he win anything?
@salman133 жыл бұрын
so basically James Harden from the Houston era and did not win. Do you realize 85% from the line is ONLY ONE MORE FT MADE more per game than Bron? On 100, it makes a difference but if both were shooting about 7 or 8 per game....it's one FT made. would you really think you'd see Bron as a great FT shooter is nobody mentioned % and just said one more a game? that's how insignificant it is. MJ would not average 40 per game like old fans think. when the hand check rules were removed , players didn't start to score way more. this is a fact. they just talk like they did. there were players who were better than MJ from long range even in his era yet ...MJ 's career 3% is very very close to what Giannis had last 2 years. an uber competitive guy like MJ tried to shoot 3s at a higher rate but he was a 32% guy. he would have to take more shots than Harden because his 3 isn't as good and get just as many, if not more , free throws. that type of player is easy to shut down today. there's a reason we don't play the triangle anymore because it's been rendered useless but it worked vs the lame rules from the 90s.

The man put up 32/8/8 with all time great defense and people who don’t know the sport will tell you he wasn’t getting teammates involved 😂 Jordan was one of, if not the greatest playmaker in NBA history. He was an unmatched perimeter threat, with very underrated IQ, ball handling, craftiness, and versatile passing with very good accuracy. What he slightly lacks in pure passing, he more than made up for that with his unmatched ability to draw defenses and get great looks for his teammates in the half and open court, in combination with his all time great finishing ability.

Yea. People forget about him running the point. I also don't think LeBron is that much better of a passer than MJ like most people do. MJ made some of the craziest assists I've ever seen. Especially during that last 3 peat. His court vision was just as good as LeBron's is imo.

Shannon literally said how many titles did Jordan win when averaging 30.......... Well Shannon he won 4 of his 6 scoring 30 in the regular season and for the PLAYOFFS he averaged 30 or more for ALL SIX TITLES 😂🤣😂 also why does Shannon talk as if Jordan & Kobe ONLY score & did nothing else like they didn't rebound & assist at ALL TIME LEVELS for SGs PLUS 1st team all defense every night smh

Kobe and Jordan aren’t even in the top 5 for all time assist as a shooting for so I don’t know where you got your information from and yes Jordan could rebound better than most shooting guards all time but he played 300 to 400 more games than most shooting guards so he was going to average more

Mike was a much better all around player than he’s given credit for. He had a stretch in 1990 when he was forced to play point guard because Pippen was out. He had 10 straight triple doubles while averaging over 30 points a game. It was a record until Westbrook broke it a few years ago

Lebron took 5738 3 pointers and made1979 of them while Jordan took 1778 and made 581. Lebron is a career 34.5 percentage and Jordan is 32.7. Lebron has 5334 points from 3s and Jordan only has 1743 points from 3s. It’s easy to pass someone on less shots when you have almost 3600 more points on 3s.
@greg27973 жыл бұрын
I think you meant to just put Kyrie, Dwade and AD. Bosh, Love and Ray Allen didn’t shoot a lot of shots. And Scottie attempted around the same amount of shots as AD, Dwade and Kyrie. I think i get what you are trying to say but even recently when it’s just been Bron and AD LeBron still hasn’t cracked even shooting 19 shots per game let alone 22~23 shots a game. I think it’s just mind set. If MJ wanted to he could’ve had a lot more assists (but less points). If Bron wanted to he could’ve scored a lot more points (but less assists). They both could’ve honestly avg a whole bunch of points and assists but then they probably wouldn’t of had the energy to play as good defense and they probably wouldn’t have won as much chips because you have to get your teammates involved somehow. They have to rebound, assist, score or something
