Former NBA player Al Harrington didn't hold back his thoughts on the differences between Michael Jordan and LeBron James. Harrington said players weren't buddy-buddy and would go to war with each other in Jordan's era. Meanwhile he said LeBron has quote: 'dominated an era of his little bros. They all his little bros.' Skip Bayless and Shannon Sharpe discuss whether there is any truth to what Harrington is saying.

Facts imagine putting LeBron back then and he can hand check and so called play tougher (foul)…. Imagine putting all the superstars from this era and they can’t hurt people like back in the days, they’re way more bigger, stronger, more athletic and skilled than back then… they would absolutely destroy the league….. remember it’s way easier to adapt by just fouling and hurting people then to adapt and learn to do step back threes, half court threes, side steps, euros, one legged fadeaway, plus the level of ball handling and ball control that these guys have now…. People only think one sided when they make these arguments

Harder in Jordan's era: Hand-checking, fewer contact fouls on drives, hard fouls allowed to some extent, no load management, few/no tanking teams Harder in LeBron's era: Overall increased talent level in the NBA, faster pace, better conditioned opposition I think Jordan's era was slightly more physical but LeBron played against slightly better opposition, talent-wise (Thomas-Payton-Barkley-Malone vs Duncan-Nowitzki-Curry-Durant, it's close). In the end, it comes down to whether you value durability (4-6 in the finals) or clutch (6-0 in the finals); versatility (28 post season triple doubles and counting) or excellence (33.4 ppg in the playoffs, 9 all-defensive teams). I lean Jordan, but it is a personal preference.

Whether beef or animosity between teammates they pushed their team to the brink to win. Bron won in his own way sure but I get point of winning but looking at how those two won they didn’t need to switch multiple teams with multiple all stars or stars to win. The league is very much so softer than back in the day. Bs flopping, the jumping into defender for fouls ( glad they changed that rule ) and all they do is shoot 3's. That's not much skill unless your Curry. Now don't get me wrong there's a damn good amount of great players in the league but it is waaay softer. Jordan didn't go out and recruit payers to come and play with him. He played with whomever was on his team and never quit. Lebrons great but he damn sure wouldn't be able to run over players back then like he does in todays game. I watch them part the seas for him. Wouldn't happen in the 80's/90's.

Regardless I’m impressed with LBJ’s longevity and his ability to still perform at a SUPERSTAR level at his age. Literally the best NBA players start to retire when their PPG drop to around 10 or lower. LBJ isn’t even close to that yet. Also with his skill set he can play as a PG at least until the age of 40. Jordan played and dominated in an era where big’s dominated the game (eg. Ewing, Olajuwon, Robinson, Malone, Daugherty), defences were allowed to get away with a lot more than in todays game. Lebron has dominated this era where he hasn’t had to go against dominating big’s and small ball has been prevalent with guard play dominating and rules more suited to offensive minded players.

mj also dominated against an era where defensive schemes weren’t allowed because zone was illegal defense. Mj was mostly playing 1v1 and if there was a player playing in between their man and MJ it’s illegal defense

Let me just throw this out there. If LeBron is so dominant in comparison to everyone else around him, he's "dominating little bros". But if there was nobody else that measured up to Jordan in his era at all, wouldn't that mean he was dominating "little bros" too? And also, Mike was golfing with fellow players back then. I ain't never in my life heard of someone being on the golf course with someone they hated or even didn't like.

Hand checking isn’t defence, moving your feet and staying in front of the person you’re defending is. Those slow in athletic players of the 80’s can’t compare to the ones now
