If you know some theory and decent at recording, it really doesn’t take long to change a song to whatever you want.

I'm going to make an educated guess. He chose the song. Meddled around with the riffs, decided on a vision then spent time on laying tracks, mastering and producing,.then made.the video and included his thought process and a very condensed version of his methods. Given his talent he probably spent 2-3 days. Editing these videos takes longer than shooting them. That's my guess. Which is probably wrong.

The Sing/Scream actually sounded dope. Also there are not many screamers that actually sound like having actually harmoniously pitched melodies in their harsh style scream ( I am talking about actual guttural / harsh screams, not the singscreams which usually involve distorted clean vocals, if you know what I mean). That is what In my mind actually sets screams from vocalists like Howard Jones apart from others. He sounds like his screams have an actually harmonious pitch that really fits the songs frequencies, instead of just sounding nasty.

I know that there are many people who hate other Linkin Park albums, but the versatility this band has, it’s just insane to even think about it. They can do any genre of music, and they have proved it! Meteora and Hybrid Theory are just awesome albums, but don’t forget about the meticulously crafted A Thousand Suns, or One More Light, the albums that really helped me through tough shit. Been a Linkin Park fan since 6 years, and will be a Linkin Park fan forever, and you did an amazing recreation of One Step Closer there, Nick.

Modern Metalcore owes SO MUCH to Meteora specifically. Not that that’s a bad thing, I absolutely love modern Metalcore. And idk if this is “ruining” one step closer. This is good. This is essentially just an ‘Artificial Suicide’ style Bad Omens song by the end

Is it weird for me to say Meteora's Nu Metal is kinda saving Metalcore? Right now the good Metalcore is stuff either harkening back to the 90s and 2000s Metalcore (Like Code Orange), and stuff with Linkin Park elements like the recent MMF and WCAR material. It's a huge step up from the 2010s era of "Copy-paste a breakdown, but this time put a generic synth with autotuned vocals over it".

I would love to see someone redo all of A Thousand Suns as a modern metal album. Even tho that album is probably the furthest divergence from their usual sound, it’s one of my favorites because I love the concept aspect of it and I love when bands experiment with other sounds.
