Did you know that with a double exclamation mark you can sudo any command that failed due to lack of privileges? You just need to scream at your terminal: sudo !!

@Human Just 100% agree - I *ALWAYS* have a terminal open. Most Windows users get freaked out the second they see a terminal window lol thankfully I’ve been a heavy user of Windows, macOS and Linux so I feel pretty comfortable regardless.

Nah, I just checked, still buggy and not user friendly at all. Also hardware support is atrocius and you still need to use terminal on daily basis. @@dobro5958 you probably "just checked" Ubuntu/Mint and not Manjaro or Pop!_OS. Hardware support isn't atrocious on these two distros, and I don't need to use terminal on Manjaro on a daily basis. Pop!_OS is based on Ubuntu, so a lot of terminal there. Manjaro is supreme.

@@dobro5958 no idea what you checked or what you define as 'user friendly' but most distros are easier for computer noobs and you really don't need to touch your terminal - daily driving ubuntu for 3 years and counting

@@dobro5958 I swapped to Linux this year and yeah some stuff is more complicated (STOP ASSUMING I'M A PROGRAMMER GITHUB DEVS) 99% of the stuff I use is minimal effort. Ex. running games from Steam just requires turning on Proton in the settings and then you're done. Now running Windows apps on Linux... Yeah Wine is still confusing as fuck. So much so that I use Lutris (which is meant for Windows games) to run anything through Wine just because its GUI is easier to understand what the hell I'm doing.

Fun fact: All ATMS do not, in fact, run Linux. The majority of ATMs run Windows XP, so feel safe withdrawing money from a machine running 20 year old software that is not even supported. It would be wonderful if they ran Linux, or at least an up-to-date version of Windows

For context, I am one of those Linux users and I also make Linux related videos. I just wanted to let you know that I thought some of the video was funny. I like parodies even for things I enjoy, parodies made in good fun are always nice to see. There are some issues with it factually which I am sure you expected people to comment on because it's a non-Linux user mocking Linux so it's bound to get some hate. I am not going to berate you about the issues because it's a parody but I do want to point out 2 things. 1. Android is a Linux based mobile operating system, so Linux already dominates the mobile market. 2. I noticed you mocking Open Office and honestly, it deserves it but Open Office is not the suggested office suite for Linux, instead check out LibreOffice.

Android may be Linux-based, but if you want to be talking about the whole OS shouldn't you specify that Android is not GNU/+=@%&Linux? The microwave may have a processor with a Linux kernel firmware, but it's not by any means the same OS you use on desktop.

@@mitchmarq428 No. Linux is what makes Android possible to exist. I do not mean GNU/whatever because I am not a hardcore type or a stereotype or whatever. The point he made in the video about Mobile doesnt relate to Desktop Linux in any way because Mobile is a market that competes within itself, even Android devices compete amongst themselves. In fact, Android competes with itself via inconsistent version adoption. So to say that Android doesn't count because it's not GNU/whatever desktop type distros is something I disagree with because Linux is what makes both markets possible and thus both are Linux-based markets.
