Well, Max & Moritz did some over the top "jokes", like choking chickens for fun, but Yeah. Pretty drastic end for them. If I remember correctly, snowwhite's stepmother was killed in the end by putting red hot iron shoes on her feet and making her dance to total exhaustion for the wedding crowd.
