The thing is, marvel can't say no to sony making these movies as it is sony who owns the spider-man live action license, and the only reason they make these movies is so that they can keep the spider-man license as the license require sony to make spider-man movies every couple of years. And this movies just scream directionless and throwing random shit hoping it works, Sony initially wanted Garfield to be the main Spider-Man in its Spider-Man Universe, beginning with Madame Web. However, those plans were later scrapped and Tom Holland's Spider-Man was chosen as the movie's Wall-Crawler. But later on all mentions of either Spider-Man were then removed during reshoots after Sony realized that the timelines didn't add up for either version to appear. And i feel like sony in some way, fooled some of these actor and actresses into playing in their movies by giving them vague description as in these movies are part of the MCU which is why Dakota Johnson fired her agent after the initial trailer of Madame web were released. These universe just screams incompetence, unless they get their shit together these movies are gonna flop
