Ironically, Madara and Canute have very similar mindsets, while both are very different to Thorfinn. Both Madara and Canute wanted to IMPOSE peace upon the world through subjugation: leading everyone who would agree, controlling everyone who wouldn't, and killing those who couldn't be controlled. But Thorfinn would rather follow those who can't be controlled until he majes such an impact on them, they wouldn't want to live without him.

Naruto is still actively using violence as the second resort to solve problems, while Thorfinn really makes sure violence is the very very last resort to solve problems. Naruto doesn't run away, Thorfinn does. Naruto always prepares his weapons and powers, Thorfinn mostly fight unarmed even with various disadvantages. Etc etc. Also Naruto's way of peace is literally just be the strongest being in the entire world so that nobody dares to oppose each other when you can just barge in and nuke them all. Even he monopolizes all of tailed beasts. While Thorfinn's approach is definitely more peaceful as he leads all of those suffered into the land of peace avoiding any conflict whatsoever not confronting it
