It's impossible to not be emotional when listening to a beautiful song, metal or not. And this is quite a beautiful song, just like all Metallica instrumentals. I remember going to my first (and only, for now) Maiden concert, I started crying like a baby when Hallowed Be Thy Name started, and several people around me started crying too!

For reasons I think no words will ever explain, I've never met Cliff Burton, never known him in person, but the music he helped create is a part of my life, and for that, I fucking love the guy. I first heard this song when I bought AJfA on cassette in 1994! I love that it was instrumental like Orion/Call of Ktulu but it has a small bit of lyrics that Cliff Burton wrote that they added in memory of him. :)

I first bought AJFA in '95 on cassette. I was 9. Hooked from the get go. I bought the record again in '06 on CD. TLITD holds a very special place in my heart, for me, it not only represents the tragic wordless story of Cliff's death and its effect on the rest of the band, but also the drama of life, the search for meaning. Incredible song and good reaction. Everybody have a great life!
