However, if China and India was to engage in a war Russia would remain neutral since it has a strong alliance with both the countries. After Pokhran test in 1998, Ukraine criticised India while Russia supported us. Few years back, Ukraine sold 300 T-80 Battle Tanks to Pakistan, ignoring India's concerns. Recently, Ukraine agreed to upgrade defence hardware of Pakistan, including T-80 Battle Tanks. A country who is militarily empowering our enemy can not be our friend. India-Ukraine Bilateral trade is also not significant while Russia is our major defence partner and all weather ally. Therefore, there is no reason for India to support Ukraine. And where are the so-called allies of Ukraine, by the way.
