@@LivingInNashvilleTennessee1 Hi. I'm happy that I had a part in helping to make your day better. To put things plainly, I haven't yet had the pleasure of even visiting Tennessee. I'm interested to know about smaller towns, no gated communities, with a decent sized lot (maybe up to an acre). I don't care for large cities at all - although I'm not against going into town for a show/concert once in a while. I really like music and I am a guitarist, but I also really enjoy peace and quiet - the rock 'till ya drop days are over for me. Clearly your focus is in and around Nashville. However, I'm willing to consider almost anywhere in the state after having some time to look and get a sense of the place. Thanks again for doing all you do.😊

I remember when Mt. Juliet had a population of about 150 people. Long time ago. I also remember when Castle Heights was still a military school and when there was a Woolworth's Five and Dime on the square in downtown Lebanon.

Great memories - I remember them all as well, and had several friends who went to Castle Heights. I remember when Mount Juliet was named Belinda, City and was being developed by Fox Ridge homes!

Moved to Mt Juliet in 1974 as a small child and I live in Mt. Juliet today. I HOPE TO BE ABLE TO ESCAPE MT. JULIET. Mt. Juliet is ruined and it's getting worse with each passing day. 1. the projects being approved by commissioners make no sense. I'm convinced there are serious kickbacks being paid by out-of-state "developers" to these commissioners. 2. TRAFFIC. It's awful. You are limited to 20 to 25 mph. The roads are bumper to bumper. Forget "clean air". You will ALWAYS have a vehicle in front of you. 3. the lakes Mt Juliet is connected to are way overcrowded. We don't even try to enjoy the lakes on the weekends. It's impossible. The political migration taking place in America is destroying the entire southeastern United States.

I'm sorry you are so unhappy with the progress of your hometown. I do understand that as a native NAshvillian myself ,I am not happy with all the change either. If you DO decide you know of a better place to live, I would be happy to assist you in getting top dollar with as little pain and frustration as possible in selling your home. I know families itching to. move and home inventory to purchase is small. Good news for you is, this progress will bring you good proceeds!

Great question and that will all depend on the age of the home, location, the degree of updates, lot size… but 350-600k (if brand new , all said and done) is a good rule of thumb today

Hi, looking to relocate in the next couple of months. What’s the tax rate on new construction?
@LivingInNashvilleTennessee1
@LivingInNashvilleTennessee1 3 жыл бұрын
We don’t have any property tax rate difference whether it’s a new home or it’s an existing home upon sale. Every four years Davidson County has a Property tax reappraisal, (other counties are at different intervals) When the house sells, the tax is based on the sales price. I hope that answers your 🙋‍♀️

@@LivingInNashvilleTennessee1 sorry I guess that sounded very ugly. But I see so many channels with realtors and others jumping on the move to Tennessee band wagon and it’s making things difficult in small towns. I know things evolve and change but things can sometimes move too fast .

@@mariannepalfy6674 I understand. No worries. As a native Nashvillian I do see the problems that have come with our growth in the last 10 years. I struggle always with the rights of property owners to sell for their highest dollar and affordability for locals- and work on both sides of the issue every day.
