There appears, from my perspective to be an issue with the charges against Mr Burns in the episode where he tries to kill Abe and Bart. If I did that video, here are the charges I'd hand down in that episode: Conspiracy to commit murder for hire (since Burns hires an assassin from South America later on): life + 25 years Aiding & abetting a contract killer (since that's a charge I came up with over hiring that assassin from South America to assassinate Abe): 15 years Trespassing, identity fraud, property damage, dangerous use of & unlawful possession of a firearm and first degree attempted murder (Burns, Smithers and the South American assassin trespass in the care home, pretend to be Homer and Marge, dangerously discharge a firearm, causing a lot of damage, which I doubt Burns legally owns and this was a premeditated attempt to kill Abe): life + 26.5 years + $12,000 I was cool with the property damage and trespassing charges over the cherry picker scene. Mass grand larceny x2 (since it is unclear how many of those paintings were stolen by the Flying Hellfish back in WW2 and the same went for that scene where Burns showed up to take them): 200 years Attempted child murder x2 & unlawful possession of a firearm (because that scene where he kicked Bart into the box that fell into the water was an attempt to kill him and in the first attempt, he once again had another gun that I seriously doubt he owns): 2 life + 10 years + $500,000. That means the sentence in total would be: 4 life + 267 years + $513,000. So that's my opinion on the charges over the episode where he tries to kill Abe and Bart.

OK, we are gonna need a better explanation what the meaning of the failure to obey and illegal border crossing charges against Burns are? I am sure the explanation is that they are fugitives, but what makes them fugitives?
