@@Chrno34 No it’s conveyed how Lucas wanted it to be conveyed. People are just not used to a pre-50s film style where instead of method acting the actors do exactly what he wants them to do. For example here: Anakin and Padme are supposed to be two people in their 20s who have the dating experience of a 13 year old and Anakin is using Sand to convay to the best of his ability how he prefers being with Padme then without while not just saying it.

ok but that part without any faces just shows that the art style is actually really realistic and cool but they sabatoged the faces and the animation in the rest on purpose because apperently every satire cartoon has to look like shit by default

It was just supposed to be a stylistic choice to separate the flashbacks from the main animation and allow focus to be on other key features like Anakin's scar or Palp's wrinkles etc I did try it with faces but as they are almost frozen in time in kept looking either too serious or too cartoony. I'll take the realistic and cool part as a compliment though! :)
