One way or another he would've , God said many are called but few are chosen.
@lindajohnson42043 жыл бұрын
Well, he didn't stumble upon someone to tell him the gospel. God brought him to someone to tell him the gospel. And Jesus said, if He was lifted up (and He meant, lifted up on the cross, just like it says in John 3), He would draw all men unto Himself. Paul went to the Areopagus in Athens, AKA Mars Hill, near the Acropolis, and saw a sign, "to an unknown god". Paul told the philosophy buffs who hung out on Mars Hill that the God he was there to tell them about, was that unknown God. And he said an interesting thing: that God put people in these spread out cultures all over the world, that they wouldn't hear about God? No! He said God had put them in those cultures "that they might _feel after_ God, and perhaps find him"! If Jesus is drawing all men, then that means he is drawing them in all cultures, including those where the Gospel and the rest of the Bible have never been heard. John 1 says that Jesus is the light that lights every man who comes into the world. So there is some drawing that happens to everyone, no matter which culture they live in, and when God the Holy Spirit draws them to Jesus, it cannot be insincere, with less than a serious motive to save them. Those who respond, He will continue to draw them, until they get the knowledge they need to believe and be saved.
@B8gBlackStick3 жыл бұрын
No, he wouldn't. It is not by our righteuosness but by his blood. John 6: 38 "And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day". Don't let anyone deceive you. The punishment of our sin which is death, was poured Jesus. He was the sacrifice God made in other for us to make it to heaven. We must confess him as our Lord and personal savior to be saved. Read John 3: 16. I pray God lead and guide you to know the truth in Jesus mighty name, Amen.

@@stillbooble3941 It's a change that occurs within us when we are saved by the grace of Jesus. God gives us a "new" heart with new desires, one that loves truth and righteousness.
@TheMerFree3 жыл бұрын
@@stillbooble3941 Ezekiel 11:19 God says, “I will give them an undivided heart and put a new spirit in them; I will remove from them their heart of stone and give them a heart of flesh.” The human heart was created to mirror God’s own heart (Genesis 1:27; James 3:9). We were designed to love Him, love righteousness, and walk in harmony with God and others (Micah 6:8). But part of God’s design of the human heart is free will. That free will carries with it the opportunity to abuse it, as did Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden (Genesis 3:11). God desires that we choose to love and serve Him. When we stubbornly refuse to follow God, our hearts, which were designed to communicate with God, are hardened. God compares rebellious hearts to stone (Zechariah 7:12). A heart of stone finds it impossible to repent, to love God, or to please Him (Romans 8:8). The hearts of sinful humanity are so hardened that we cannot even seek God on our own (Romans 3:11), and that’s why Jesus said no one can come to Him unless the Father first draws him (John 6:44). We desperately need new hearts, for we are unable on our own to soften our hard hearts. A change of heart toward God requires a supernatural transformation. Jesus called it being “born again” (John 3:3).
@TheMerFree3 жыл бұрын
@@stillbooble3941 Okay, that's great! I was saved last Sept, I'm a new Christian, so I always try to draw from scripture when I answer someone. But to answer your question, I can only draw from my personal experience (although I've heard similar accounts from others), I can only speak for myself. Right away, after being saved, I noticed a complete and total aversion to my former sins, things I used to love and value in my sinful life--I want absolutely nothing to do with now. Immediately, I craved His word--I was never interested in reading the bible before, but LOVE reading the bible now--I am so moved by His word. Generally, I've noticed a genuine love for what God loves, and hatred for what he hates. Before I was saved, I was actually pro-choice about abortion--and my heart TOTALLY changed about that--I despise abortion now and am fully Pro-Life! It was weirdly easy to repent from my sins, and so very freeing. The grace of God changed me completely. I now desire to do what pleases God and brings me closer to Him. Btw, all of these changes in me occurred the very night I got saved--it was instantaneous--I was astounded to feel such a genuine shift in identity, purpose, and to suddenly have a biblical worldview instead of the counterfeit one I created for myself. It was miraculous and it shocked me. I'd heard other born-again Christians talk about it before, but I didn't "get" it until it actually happened in my own life. As far as proof that my personal changes were inspired by something external and not just me making some radical new decisions in my mind randomly, I can only say that's where FAITH comes into play. I prayed to Jesus confessing every sin I could think of, apologized and asked for forgiveness, and He answered. I encountered Jesus in my own way when I sincerely put my faith in Him and repented from my sins. I hope some of this has made sense to you, because I only want to help by serving God and others.
