Liebe Jule, ich habe heute (leider!) nur was beim Einspielen im Heidenheimer Lokschuppen und die erste Nummer des Konzertes mitbekommen. Sehr, sehr schön! Ohren und Herz waren sehr angenehm berührt. Bin eine vom "Stuff". Dein "Fanclub" aus Neuburg/ Donau hat mich auf das Konzert am 21. Juli hingewiesen. Ich werde dabeisein und freu mich schon drauf. Die Strecke kenn ich ja von meiner Fahrt ins Birdland gestern. Auch in Dresden war ich in diesem Jahr schon, der nächste Termin dort ist Mitte Mai. Ich ❤ diese Stadt! My first time inside a bar/club was to see Ralph Towner at the Jazzhaus in Lawrence KS in 1985 when I was 17, so a bit illegal. I still love the guy's work and I'm always tickled to see people covering him too, like this. So beautiful. I've never covered anyone myself though. I do my own thing well but I don't think I could cover anyone else's stuff well enough to bother.

Ralph Towner is a master composer. Note that the chord structure constantly folds back on itself but reinforces the body of the song between each phrase. It's beautiful and complex at the same time.

Hello again. Just quick.... Spelling control created a guy called Yownets! Or was it my lazy fingers? Towner of course! Anyway, is the song in standard tunning and did you learn it by ear or sheet music available to everyone? And finally....it can be a pain to learn to use all 5 fingers on the right hand.
