If you don't understand the video here is what it is, Vietnam war Comparison of Realistic Rise of Nations VS Current Rise of Nations on how the conflict would be handled Suez Canal The Suez is a vital trading canal that makes economies thrive as it's a shortcut through Africa meaning that if it were to be closed, inflation on products heavily transported through it would skyrocket causing a massive economic crisis Releasing Countries This is mainly focusing on the fact that if you release a single country/state out of a country it weakens the whole system. Other states will want independence causing mass unrest and possible nationalism in each state due to the freedom of another. Assassination Basically, you get assassinated when you enter your country and banned from the server because... well... your dead. Insurgency Insurgency in Rise of Nations is basically a forced roleplay given that there are no active troops, and you just have to play around with the random events the game gives you that could possibly break your economy. This part focuses on the idea that insurgents have a standing although scattered army that can be taken out through military means as it is visualized. The text boxes that are shown represent the annoyingness of having insurgency on your country.

Just gonna do some corrections but im not ruin the fun: Vietnam actually had enormous losses compared to the US but due to their expertise in the Jungle the US couldnt do much to "liberate" Northern Vietnam.

@@poopfart4932 doesn’t mean they weren’t Vietnamese were they? And besides tons of civilians sided with the North Vietnamese as the war continued due to US unpopularity among them. So even if they were technically civilians, they were civilian who fought against the US and probably supplied by the North Vietnamese, Soviet Union, China or took US/South Vietnamese weapons. Which means they technically are still considered as casualties/losses.

@@melonthewatermelon- bro they were literally unarmed and killed by the us forces cause they set up kill zones that allowed you to just straight up kill whoever you want. most vietnamese civillians werent aware of this and because of it alot of them were killed. once the us army apparently killed 5 thousand vietnamese soldiers but only uncovered 500 weapons. it is very likely that the vietnamese millitary casualties are about 1/10th or even more less because the usa likes bumping up their enemies casualty count to make their army appear professional and strong

@@poopfart4932 wdym bro, a good amount of civilians secretly sided with the North Vietnamese to fight against the South and sabotage the South. Sure some of them were unarmed as they mostly sabotaged comm lines and transportation instead of ambushing Southern troops but they still had a part to play. The biggest reason for their siding with the North was simply dictatorship that was in the South and the US dragging the war for too long.

correction about the vietnam thing: the north vietnamese had the most casualties. the whole vietcong thing was guerillas in the south loyal to the north

I did very minimal research, but I did look to see the number of American casualties which is why 280k troops ran into 100k I also did the exact number of Vietcong soldiers in northern Vietnam which was like 1 million but ig not really spread out enough. But thanks for pointing it out.

Imagine if RON had insurgents in game. The number of your troops would be 1/2 the number of insurgents. Example if you had 60k troops the insurgents would have 30k. and they will be more harder to control and players can control the insurgents, be able to name the party. If insurgents won, well their power is installed and the other one, becomes either insurgent or hops into a nation. This would be really fun and challenging and it can help us test tactics and strategies. SUMMARY: Insurgents will have their own mini tree that can help them progress later on. The 3 sects are: Knowledge (helps gain troop experience because they gain knowledge and helps knowledge gain to develop other sects.), Power (Specializes on political power and propaganda. This will give your growing insurgent group into gaining members. The more you develop here the more members you get.) And finally weaponary (Developing this tree improves your groups attacks.) They will spawn a random number from a gang sized (below ten) up to 500 They will be harder to suppress as they will have random boosts e.g master biome specialization, defense bonus, attack, etc If the insurgent party wins a civil war, a new power is installed and the government party will be either transitioning to a insurgent party or give up Insurgents will occur when: Have a stability lower than 40%, have rampant corruption or did some things that led to protests as a result of sabotage. If the government party wins, the insurgents will remain but with either a very small number to where you are not recognized, or completely eradicated. A player can choose to be a insurgent in any country as long as they continue to sabotage or damage a nations stability and make them vulnerable. And imagine new units such as: APC's (as the name suggests, these are attack units.) APC's are units that can prove as assists to allied units and can deal moderate damage to enemy units. They can be destroyed by attackers. A unit spawns 100 APCs and an upkeep of 100k and costs 50m. These are weak on Tanks tho. Warheads: Warheads are a simmered down version of the nuke. They are huge damage dealers enough to decimate 1million troops or a city with 500k pop. They require a special new resource called "Explosives" which are made by 2 resources: (idk about chemistry or bombs so correct me) nitroglycerin and steel. Warheads require atleast 4 units of steel, 3.5 units of Iron, and 2.5 units of explosives. Explosives can be produced by a factory which 1 factory produces 2 explosives. Nitroglycerin costs 200k (1 unit) and iron is yk. They can be stored by a new building called "Arsenal" which stores your explosives and warheads and it conceals the number of explosives and war heads you have to yhe public. Not even an ally can see. Warheads cost 1 billion with an upkeep 600k. Warheads can be stopped by either sending a attacker or anti air. Missile launchers/Rocket launchers: These bad boys can fire missiles on a range of atleast Arty range x3. They deal powerful support to enemy units as they continue firing rockets. They require atleast 1 unit of explosives, 2 motor parts, 1 steel. They cost a cheap price of 25m with upkeep of 60k. These guys how ever can be killed by Tanks. Drones: Drones are sneaky annoying ground attackers designed to damage or stop a convoy. A drone can destroy 20 tanks stock but as its trained and given more tech upgrades it can deal more damage. These cheap but deadly units can serve as delays to enemy units and can be an air artillery. A drone has an endurance of a bomber and can continuously sever enemy positions. Ofc they can be taken down by Anti Air or fighters. WMD'S (WEAPONS OF MASS DESTRUCTION) Chemical bombs: C bombs are lethal weapons and if it falls to the wrong person , it can fuck the wotld. Chem weapons can be build by Explosives and "Mustard Gas" which can be aquired by a pop up saying "Scientists have accidentally found a way to create weapons of mass destruction. Are you willing to invest on this? Y: 300 million will be deducted, WMD tree will have 100 Research point gain, Mass demonstrations +50%". (This pop up will appear if you focus on the WMD tree and apply "WMD POLICY which needs 100 PP and 2 PP to maintain and the tree has unlocked "Research dev".. WMDs will jave a small tree that doesnt require much RP. Bio, chem, nuke, war heads will fall into this category. These units will be costly. Cheapest to most expensive- Warhead, Chem, Bio, Nuke. Any nation can unlock and can possess these powerful weapons and be able to pile these.

No unfortunately, the canals in game are connected to canal cities that you have to click on in order to access the canal settings.
