this dynamic doing escape rooms work so well for many reasons: rae is super animated so it’s fun to watch her solve these things head-first + the underdog between the two so it always feels rewarding when she does win. toast on the other hand, is a quick problem-solver, patient, and seeing him feel challenged is super refreshing. the contrast between their approach in solving escape rooms is fun as a viewer. i like that the both of them are always excited to try the rooms and not rage quit bc it always sucks when players give up midway.

i know this is late and petty, but some of these comments bug me a little, treating rae like her skills are just chance based. i actually think this is really interesting, because it displays how rae and toast learn, problem solve, create ideas, and just generally interact with reality. rae notices patterns visually, abstract, her mind treats the information in more details, with more possibilities, it works by instinct more, so she has a sharper intuition. along with how fast her thoughts can go, all of this allows her to be spontenuous and experimental in situations like these. to match anything with everything, even if it isn't the right answer. she'd make a great mad scientist lol. however, being so focused on details gets her overwhelmed easily when she enters a new room and has to suddenly process ALL of the tiny pieces of data and patterns and possibilities strewn all over the place. whereas toast has a mind that works with a The Bigger Picture sort of framework. he enters the room, builds one main story/logic from it, then grabs anything based on that theory, and tries to see if it matches a branch of it or not. he doesn't get overwhelmed because he relies on that theory, instead of exploring millions of possibilities. he might build that logic based on previous data from other rooms, or from what he knows about escape rooms, and that might serve him very well! but that can slow him down too, if he clings to the stability of that data rather than the possibility of change. both are very smart, it just comes out through different techniques of experimentation! i think it's very cool and that escape roms are excellent tools to illustrate someone's cognitive functions and how that makes up their mbti type. :)

I know the comments are jokes but most of them are forgetting that half of the rooms Rae was solving a majority of the puzzles by herself (no useful hints, no brute force) before Toast solved them. She overthinks her execution but she tends to “get” the puzzles immediately in an abstract way. Toast is quicker in his execution because he tries to push out useless stuff faster than Rae. But at the end of the day, Rae was on par with him for most of the puzzles lol Also speaking of MBTI I think they’re both greatly mistyped lol. Overtime I found that Rae and Toast are ESFP and ISTP (most likely) respectively lmao. They both use obvious Ni and Se, with a lack of Ne.
