Do you have any idea how strong spider man actually is? He pulls all of his punches because he has the strength to kill people with one punch. And when you have super strength you also have super durability. So yah it is reasonable that his arms can’t crush spiderman. Also when the unreasonable start, like a dude got spider powers from a radioactive spider. A guy made arms capable of having individual thought and are strong enough to rip open a vault? That guy also made a mini sun in the palm of his hand.

That first mass murder charge for otto is debatable. He was unconscious at the time, it was his metal arms that did all of that, with Otto only waking up after the deed was done. That first illegal squatting charge is questionable as well, as the boathouse shown there was old, decrepit, and falling apart. I don't think anyone would've cared about someone setting up shop there.

9:04 if I may, your honor, the inhibitor chip was destroyed, the damages & the lives lost were due to Doctor Octavius no longer being in control of the arms until MCU Peter managed to restore the chip, so, can he really be blamed for crimes he commits while under the influence of those artificial arms? As for Mr. Osborn aka the Green Goblin, the performance enhancers/goblin formula did increase his physical performance, but it split his personality in two, I'd like to propose lightening his sentence on the account of his sanity being affected due to his own creation.

Ok one objection and only one... The mass murder charge given to Doctor Octavius when he was on the operation table... Yeah about that he was asleep for most of that and barely regaining consciousness by the time those people were dead... That was the arms doing so how exactly is that a problem for the Doctor. One could argue that from that point forward he was a hostage but that would be a stretch.
