My top choice is Ten Hag. He is in a weird position, where injuries hamper any progress. His first choice CB are unavailable, so he can't play high line and compact formation. Give him the right players and then judge again. He IS the best choice manager going forward. At least for now. There will always be a way to sack him if that is necessary, but for now, I say stick with him. But if he does get sacked, my top picks would be 1. Amorim. Won title first time in 19 years, not 5 or 6... Cleared out the squad and promoted youth. Signed some talented players. Players like Inacio, Ugarte, Diomande, Gyokores, Matheus Nunes, Joao Pahlinha, Goncalves, Porro, Nuno Mendes have played under him and all have suitors across Europe. His teams are solid defensively and his best attributes are his social skills and connection with players. 2. Nagelsmann. Young wonderkid, tactical genius. He has some of the best CV ever for a manager in his mid 30s. He learns from his mistakes and likes to tweak mid games. Also relies on building connection with players. Tuchel, Flick, De Zerbi, Frank, Southgate, Potter, Zidane are so uninspiring as candidates.

Sporting manager has been heavily linked with Barca, if not there athletico. De zerbi is highly respected in Europe and was a surprise and not who is he but he’s good and went to Brighton. His name has been linked with city and depending on 115 reasons, he may get the opportunity soon. As believe it will be harder to get artta out or afc. Potter is good but he has a ceiling and if Brighton were not so worried to let him go and get de zerbi, is he someone you want. Southgate is beige, he was picked not to cause problems. He also has the fa resources and players so it’s hard to judge. I agree with Ste on zz, he’s an unknown. He thrived with big time Charlie’s but with the quality we have now would he do well. But asside didn’t he manager the rm youth team, which may show a level of youth management. But I believe he will Waite for a role at Juventus, management or board or he has always been linked with the French job. Personally, we keep eth for another year and we find out what style we want to play and establish foundation in the new era. We don’t want another potential manager. As it puts back again it goes in the circle of stop start. But if I had to choose a name. The four I’d pick. Big ang, Sergio conceicao, emery or Gary O’Neill

You have to create a functioning team using a few friendlies and minimum training. A national team manager can just create a good environment and create a functional team with players that are strangers to each other. This constant tourettes about "style of play" is driving me up the bastard wall. Anyone talking about it has been gas lit by the anti-Utd kabal. De Zerbi does NOT have a style of play. Brighton played exactly the same way under Potter. And that's because Brighton have a clearly defined and articulated footballing philosophy, with a management structure and recruitment policy that closely aligns to it. Brighton are built from the ground up so that if a manager leaves, the club are not left with a bunch of players that won't work for the next manager. Any new Brighton manager has to have an aptitude and willingness to fit in with the club's broader long term strategy. Now, try and convince me that is what Utd have had since SAF retired. Ten Hag is not the problem.

And if the hope is the front office is backing the manager why not just back eth just like that ?
@jgm2928 ай бұрын
The logic of Hipster FC will have us keep ETH for the ‘high pressing style’. Ole back as assistant coach for the ‘vibes’, Rangnick back as technical advisor. Bin off Tuchel and Jose - too many trophies between them and no European trophies since 2022- not good enough

Tuchel and Jose would be wank choices.. it’s really as simple as that… the games changed and left them behind.
@modestasvalancius62078 ай бұрын
Nagelsmann or Xabi Alonso for me. Potter and Southgate would be a mindblowingly stupid choice. Either way, a massive player clearout is essential - only appointing a new manager won't cut it.

EtH should not leave in the summer, but if INEOS do decide to pull the trigger, here is my top 3 1. Diego Simeone 2. Nagelsmann 3. Tuchel If there is someone in world football who has stability, aura, mentality, winning record and competing at the highest level, i really think we should knock at simeone's door!!

De Zerbi’s Brighton who got hammered 4-0 in the Europa cup last night after this was recorded!! Has he ever won anything BIG????
@marcinwiszowaty75388 ай бұрын
I think it depends what kind of football they want play, if want to go possession base of city its De Zerbi, if they want Flops lfc transitions and willing to take advice from Ragnick its Nagelsman. Bayern sack J N because he preferred play Musiala at 10 then Muller, waned replace Neuer when he broke his leg and his misses worked in Bild and leaked some stuff. On Potter and Southgate its just ading 2+2 cuz Ashwoth work with them.

Bring back Ole good vibes and then with proper structure

Guys we ALL got taken for a ride on the Ashton pr train again. Southgate to United is a smoke screen. It’s just a trick to hopefully get the English boys stepping up their game (RASHFORD) so we can get top 4. No way in hell he is a serious contender

If you think sacking Ten Hag is the answer to Utd's problems you havent a clue about football. Last season was a decent start but he's been hampered bigtime by injuries to key players. Look at his signings.....Antony had a good first season, lacked world class end product but showed he has talent. This season should have seen further improvement and development but those off field allegations and injuries set him back. His season only really started a month or so ago. Casemiro had a great first season but has missed more than half of this season. Martinez, great first season then injured, comes back and looks impressive and injured again. Malacia is a young player with promise, injured again all season. You cant tell me any one of these 4 players are bad, or were bad signings. Then look at his summer signings before this season...Mount, injured, barely had a kick all season. Hojlund, injured, came back and developed form and confidence and looks like a quality player, then injured again. Onana, a few shaky moments at the start but has been solid in recent games. Amrabat is far too injury-prone and looks like a poor man's Casemiro. But he was a loan signing, and I highly doubt he will be signed permanently. Look at the other injuries then..... Shaw, Wan Bisaka, Maguire, Martial...The rest of the squad are not his players. Ten Hag wants to play football and likes players who are very comfortable with the ball at their feet, passing and moving in tight spaces. Shaw can do that, and Dalot, Mainoo, Fernandez, Garnacho and Greenwood can also do it, but the rest are very limited in terms of technical ability, and their future is in doubt at Utd imo. Lindelof is barely a half decent center-half, never mind a good full back. McTominay is a decent squad player, but not a first team regular. Eriksen has quality but his legs are gone and he's injured all the time. Varane is coming to the end; useful squad player but too injury prone. Rashford too inconsistent - needs to take a 50% pay cut and earn his place in the team as a squad player if he wants to stay. Ten Hag is NOT the problem here. You could see that when he got a few players back a month or two ago and they were playing well ...then the injuries came and youre back to square one because the players he inherited in the squad dont have the quality to play the way he wants. Expect Ten Hag to stay and a very busy summer in the transfer market.

A lot of ERH in or out I have seen lately is around 65% waiting him to stay 1 more year. If Ineos is sacking a manager that many fans want to stay, it is a big gamble. What if new failing big time? It would not go down well with fans. A big risk for their reputation.
