Hearing and Smell are my favourites. They hang out and grab drinks together. On the business side of things, Hearing is Smell's go to for info. Having info at the library and unintentional or intentional eaves dropping on those that he doesn't stab, helping with leads for Smell.

I actually really love Smell. I don't think you managed to make them very creepy (sorry!) but there's something so sweet and kind about them. To look for the dead and bring them back to their loved ones. To soothe the worries of those people and give the death peace. To know that even if you have no one looking for you, they will find you and allow you to be remembered. An absolute sweetheart

@Th3.H0n3y.K4t I have already started one… He is a Wizard/Rogue multiclass, named Zephyr Shadowstrike, with proficiency in arcana, history, insight, perception and stealth… He doesn’t speak common, due to an injury, so can only speak owl and common sign language… He’s a sage, so he hunts for information on whatever he happens to be researching at the time, and usually reads up in the rafters or on top of the book cases to avoid annoying people… I sort of want him to stealth around, and strike from above and from the shadows…

I think overstimulation would have been an interesting thing to explore with some of these. I have a thing where I feel like bugs are crawling all over me if im touched when I’m not expecting it and also certain wet sounds or throat noises will linger with me for hours on end because they make me so angry. Hearing and Smell gotta be my favorites, I’m no furry but I enjoy seeing humanoid animal monster designs like these, that and their concepts of what they’d do. With Smell being a tracker that can help find people that others wish to find though they will always be dead sense he specifically looks for the smell of dead bodies, and Hearing being a librarian that’s very peaceful until he catches you disturbing the peace and causing a lot of noise (like many people have said already :3)

God I'm always blown away by your character designs, they're just incredible!!!! Smell is by FAR my favourite, it's such a cool design and the face is haunting. I have a soft spot for monsters that are kind at heart but still so unsettling and I think you nailed that perfectly! I may be biased since I am a furry :P But it really is such a cool design :D And hearing too!!!! Some ideas for names: Smell-ambiguus Latin origin of the word ambiguous. Your description of the catch-22 scenario of the monster only being able to find those who are already dead reminded me of the concept of ambiguous grief which is a grief you feel when there is no closure (the person is still alive but no longer themselves, missing but not confirmed dead, etc) Sight: Opia (defined as “the the intensity of looking someone in the eye, which can feel simultaneously invasive and vulnerable) Hearing: Knell (Defined as the sound of a bell, especially when rung solemnly for a death or funeral) Taste: Nekojita (Japanese phrase meaning cat tongue, used to refer to people whose tongues are so sensitive that heated food/drinks bring them pain. I think it could kind of fit with the monsters whole body being overly sensitive so that even if someone brushes by her she is put in immense pain and wants to attack them

the tongue is actually made of two muscles, so the two “ears” would be really cool as a cut up tongue or something. And a name for the taste could be Septum considering shes in between the two tongues and the septum connects the tongue muscles.

An interesting thing that could be done is playing with what the senses *mean*. Like, sight is the main thing humans get information from, so maybe some more confidence could be added and she could look bookish(idk how lol)/actually with a book. Hearing also gives a lot of information, and is also used for communication and music(for pleasure), which honestly, yeah, you did great. Aside from what you said, the guy looks like a good listener Taste is mostly used for pleasure and disgus(survival and shit). Don't really know how to play on that Touch soothes you, causes you pain(for survival) and gives information on where your body is. Perhaps giving her a more motherly attitude and making her point out dangers/places to hide/run to would work for that Smell gives you information and disgust(survival, again). This one would work as the a kind one in a dangerous place, trying to prevent people from getting hurt. Design works well, aside from the face being a bit too cold for "kind one"

The yew tree meaning is so good cause as well as the life symbolism, yew trees are super poisonus and HEAVILY accossiated with DEATH cause of a many centuries-old tradition of planting them in graveyards~ As for pronunciation it's not very easy to write it out in English letters lol. I'd personally give it as 'YOU-an'. Again though, it varies

I really like how the sight monster almost looks like she’s feeling around in front of her as she walks. It’s as if she can’t see where she’s going despite seeing everything else, and being, in that way, blind.

Name ideas: Iris for sight (both after the actual iris of the eye and the goddess of rainbows) Cullie/Culus for taste (after a Homunculus since they have such big tongues) Oto for hearing (Ototoxin drugs are a type of drug that can cause deafness) Ulnar for touch ( it’s a nerve in the hand) cadaverine/ putrescine for smell (both molecules that contribute to the stink that rotting bodies give off) or Ozone which is what is used to back bodies not smell
