I just realized something. If the Dominus Astra hadn't done its Warp Drive explosion, the 'nids would have eaten Guilliman along with the rest of Macragge. In other words, the Emperor has deemed a single Battleship to be more valuable than a Primarch.

But a Primarch is a pretty limited-edition thing. I mean, only 20 + however many PURER THAN THOU GREY KNIGHTS (allegedly) is a pretty small number when the scale of 40k is taken into account. Yes, the Battleships are pretty hard to replace, but salvage operations can help recoup the cost... Of course, if your boat's lost to The Warp, chances are it's coming back to ruin a few Imperial worlds and eventually be put down "at great cost" (or something). Now, my list of "what in the Warp happened" (literally) can be summed up as: Turned to Chaos Turned to Chaos, got blown up in some internecine conflict Turned to Chaos, currently participating in some internecine conflict Turned to Chaos, heavily damaged in some internecine conflict, is now the prize in another internecine conflict, to be used in an entirely different internecine conflict Turned to Chaos, is coming for your souls, so if you be an Imperial lapdog, seek shelter five minutes ago. After this, it will fend off those seeking to pilfer its spoils to fuel an internecine conflict Remained loyal, crew was killed to a man, Chaos crew did all or some or none of the above Ran out of supplies. See Rogue Trader for details on how THAT plays out. Surprise Genestealers Met a Space Hulk. Prow-first. At high speed. Survivors turned to Chaos and/or met Genestealers No time at all has passed for them. BEST CHANCE AT A GOOD ENDING (THANKS, TZEENTCH!) They go to the Eye of Terror and try to slip out due to how the Warp blends with reality. Due to how the Warp works, they could still be in transit. Of course, then the Inquisition purges them all just to be sure and gives the boat to someone they deem trustworthy. The story that gets out is that the crew died heroes and the Machine Spirits of the ship returned it to the Imperium. But in any case, the Imperium just got handed an operational Battleship that is pretty sorely needed. OR They meet a good-looking Space Hulk (said Space Hulk dresses suggestively and stands on Warp eddies, waving its fishnet stocking-clad components at passing ships and saying "Hey, Sailor boy, you looking for a good time?") and are moored with it when it phases back to realspace after a long while of fending off the odd ne'er-do-wells, such as Genestealers. They then eventually either limp home or walk into an internecine conflict and severely maul both sides because they're the Imperial bloody Navy, who are trained to slap such xenos and traitors whereever they may stand, sit, or cower. They then meet the Inquisition, who purges the crew. But at least the Imperium has a Battleship in service again.

While I like the side plot, the main bits with the Custodian and the Emperor are absolutely some of my favorite things on KZbin. I love that the Emperor calls the leader of the Ultramarines 'Papa Smurf', and the editing and subtle touches with the subtitles just add to it even more, like 'rollercoaster of disappointment' having a little rollercoaster running along it and falling off. XD

MultiSS55 not locked away anakry the traveler is simply having trouble locating them and getting them back online since he is one the few doing that kind of thing even though it would be of the interest to many dynasties to do that to increase their army sizer but maybe that is a flawed idea to the necrons (although most are still in stasis so are surly in a pocket dimension though ) but the saudtath(I am sure that is spelled wrong) dynasty is far from neutral they want to take over the galaxy although other dynasties can be seen as very neutral I agree.
