It also seems like there's a sense of respect and understanding the Strouds have towards the Lions. Probably comes from a mutual understanding of what it feels like to be so bad you end up the laughing stock of your division and most of the NFL for years. You could tell how conflicted he was to decree that injury upon Hutchinson. Or maybe that was genuine fear on the Strouds part. I don't think it's luck, personally, I think it's great creativity and improvisation from Tom. Yes, Tom probably has storylines he wants to use, but he has definitely had some that didn't work out (I would love to see a video of all the ideas that had to be thrown away so to the wrong team winning).
