It also seems like there's a sense of respect and understanding the Strouds have towards the Lions. Probably comes from a mutual understanding of what it feels like to be so bad you end up the laughing stock of your division and most of the NFL for years. You could tell how conflicted he was to decree that injury upon Hutchinson. Or maybe that was genuine fear on the Strouds part. They probably know all about the decades of controlled fury they've been holding in and the devastating power they could unleash if pushed too far when they're closer than ever to their Super Bowl dream.

There's a really small detail in this episode that was really amazing, and I'm not sure if I'm overreacting or if this was intentional, but - Although Scriptwriter acting as the Strouds tries to mimic the Strouds own speaking cadence, he still keeps that slight higher tilt in his voice that is more his default. It does a lot to keep the characters straight with all the switcheroos happening, and it's AMAZING vocal work to keep those details so tightly tuned between multiple characters.

I’m going genuinely insane right now at this scriptwriting. The Scriptwriter has to pretend to be the Strouds while the Strouds are acting as the Scriptwriter?! This whole season of If The NFL Was Scripted has me so invested can this next week go by fast so we can get the next episode?
