Principle 3: Except if you need to consider whether you want to preserve spread. No, but seriously, thanks for this -- the takeaway is insightful and actionable. I know I will be applying it.

Thanks! And fair point about spread, though generally if you have a win that's at least 1/8 I'd always encourage going for it even if it might mean losing a lot of spread

In this situation, my immediate instinct in the starting position was to just assume my opponent has the Q. So I saw that part, but then actually finishing the job is the problem. I'm just a casual player who has like a 60% win rate against Basic Bot on Woogles. The principles you mentioned in this video are something I subconsciously acquired at some point over the last year just by watching you and a few other scrabble creators, but I'm still trash at end games. If I was in a time crunch, I would have played Revolt on the bottom left, and probably not even calculated if it gave me any chance to win.

Love this approach! Keeps you in a positive mindset in what could be a stressful situation, which will always lead to better play. Would love to see more of these type of videos ❤

my coolest play was not my highest scoring in a not very high scoring double double (92), but the word (stating) hooked herein to therein, so not a huge 200 point play, but still pretty cool

Other corollary: if the only way to lose is for X to happen, assume X will happen.

think it kind of doesn't matter how many options Hastybot has, does it? Doesn't Hastybot always just play the top equity move anyway without considering strategy?

SPOILER The sequence you found was pretty good, but it also suggests that you're not a TOP LEVEL player
